I can count at least 3 on the board itself.

Did you forget that China is yet to pull back its troops from border ? Its build-up is like Russian build-up around Ukrainian border. Its like saying Ukraine and Russia can become friends just because each side has stopped firing bullets.
PLA is prepared to attack us at any moment notice currently. First let them pull back from border first.

Second, even if lets say, 10 years from now somehow our relations with China do become neutral, it will be thousand times better to have better relations with USA (taking that Russia is now history), than that with China.
Can China sustain its build-up long term?

By the way, people have been saying this about how Russia is now history only to find to their detriment that it is not true.

Yep, totally, and they are doubling down on it with insane infrastructure build-up.

We will see. Its economy is currently severely jeopardized, and the direction the Ukraine-Russia war is headed is clearly not helping it. Plus the new world order is that Russia is the now smaller brother of China, which automatically makes us repel from Russia.

Chinese strategic discourse on India is:
1. India is a military pushover >> China can make border incursions, break agreements, teach India a "lesson" at will.

2. India is a future threat with its economy growing as companies move there, whereas China will have less growth >> India must be balkanized to secure Chinese dominance in the Indian ocean region.

I don't think these attitudes will change and thus, there is no question of India and China ever becoming allies.

Or they are beginning to realize their folly after seeing their brethren being killed by their allies in Pakistan and want to make a rapprochement with India?
You are stupid sir ! Few chinese gets killed and you make such big hypothesis ? You want to change world politics , chinese doctrine attitude towards india based on that incident ? That's not how geopolitics are decided . We ll be always seen as a competitor with equal population , going through a demographic boom , Rising military strength , potential problem maker in region where china sees as it's own .

If we can avoid any major conflict with China and bring them to agreement in some global issues I ll call it a success of our diplomacy . In the mean time we have to remain prepared for mood swings of a newly borned major power from time to time .

Wow a cognizant thought coming from the likes of you!!!! You have mastered the ability to call someone stupid without bothering to understand the context in. Congratulations on passing first grade!!!! Go ahead and make more insults and show the world the vast breadth of your intelligence!

Keep it up and there will be a rave end of year report on you. Just remember, the door at your school is meant to be pulled not push in. Its ok if you can't get it right on many tries. I am sure on the 1000th try you will get it right.... eventually.

One more thing,

Let me help you understand the context so you will be able to muster the intelligence to pass beyond first grade comprehension.

Therrrrreeeee iiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssss aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmme goiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing oooooooooooooooonn.

[Speaking slowly and enunciating each word] It is called planting seeds of doubt and discord that will later lead on to the desired outcome or reaction. Get it?

For the advanced students,

It is called playing spycraft and sowing disorder and chaos in your enemy's territory that makes it lose an ally. Remembe what CLauswitz said, "War is an continuation of politics by other means."

And Sun Tzu's famous quote, "The best general is one who wins the war without firing a shot" For further explanation: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/never-fire-shot-win-war-shawn-alexander-goldsmith

Yes, so what

It's a Chinese projection onto India. "Akhand Bharat" in this case is China's hegemonic mentality that its ASEAN neighbors must be subservient. The part on the Indian Ocean is akin to how China claims possession over the entire South China Sea via the 9-dash line.

The Chinese believe India has the same mentality regarding the Indian Ocean as they have regarding the South China Sea.

Continuing on with how China projects it's own behavior on India, this is why sustained peace with China is an impossibility.

Were the roles reversed and India was contesting Chinese control over the East and South China Seas, arming China's neighbors, and slicing pieces of Tibet and Xinjiang, China would never accept it. If India told China not to let the border issue affect realms of cooperation while salami slicing, China would refuse.

China thus expects India to act the same way and interprets any deviation not as an overture for peace, but as a forced concession due to India's weakness. Chinese media and netizens often describe India as a Western puppet and see Indians as in a colonial mentality. That's obviously false, yet to China, it's hard to understand. When China was in a similar position as India, with border conflicts with the Soviet Union, it allied with the US and went completely against the USSR. China expects India to go completely anti-China and ally with the US; India not doing so just means India is too weak and scared of China in their perspective.

There has been a slight renowned focus on the central sector (Uttrakhand/Himachal), as China seems to be strengthening its weakest area on LAC.

Apart from that, both Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh are essentially locked. Troops are ready on both sides if required. Knowing China, they don't fight a war unless they have overwhelming superiority and a probability of winning, so the focus will probably now turn to other areas (e.g., Pakistan, internal unrest, the Indian Ocean, etc.).
