Bhajicucks need a hammering in their behinds, they have cucked our economy and are giving too much market access to chongs with the koolaid of aatmanirbhar bharat and make in India for gullible andh bhakts. Trade deficit is widening overall and our ministers are busy beating the bush of muh exports when import growth is more than export growth. Chinks don’t give you much market access for finished products and here we are, Shupa powa vishwaguru.

If only steps like Atmanirbhar Bharat and make in India were taken during early 2000s. It's not easy to build an industrial base from scratch and be an export power in a matter of 5 or 6 years. These things take time

Cutting dependence on china is not necessary same as to Atmanirbhata. IMO the first one needs to be done ASAP, but looks like thy are not able to make any significant moves due to continuing talks with the Chinese.

Given the dominance of the Chongs in manufacturing it is pretty much the same, the substitution by an alternative supplier invariably comes at a higher cost

MEA is filled with CCP Agents undermining the Indian response
And the inter-ministerial CSG (China Study Group) leads the pack.

This CSG hides behind a curtain and dont publish public reports. CSG is still focused on security issues based on what the media has reported. No individual research.

Winter Olympics boycott is a cabal by the Western libs to corner China on "hooman rights issue and 'genocide' in Xinjiang". India knows this trick of theirs very well as we have been on the receiving end of same- Kashmir, North East, Minorities, missionaries. China has always stayed very much out of the "K" issue- funding terrorism is a separate issue but they don't take this plank on international forums ever(even after severe nudges by the Pakis over the years). So, the bet MEA seems to be playing is that you don't mess in our matters and we don't, in yours. The hypocrisy of such stands by the Western circus has been discussed over across threads here
Now, whether this bet pays off or China stabs in the back by joining the "K" bangwagon that's coming for us in the future (yes it is, who do you think is the target after China) is to be seen. For now, the decision doesn't seem completely irrational

How much of this trade deficit between India and China is inflated as prices of products have increased anywhere between 25% to 300% across the spectrum.

Regardless, we should work to plug the trade deficit. Indian companies are still shamelessly sourcing from China.

Manufacture of consumer goods components which were manufactured in India till a couple of decades back have moved to China as the margins added to the companies top and bottom line.

Continuous targeted attacks by Babudom on sme's has further compounded the problem.

Ambattur in Chennai used to be a SSI hub. It was also called Ambattur industrial estate.

A sharp growth in BPO's, IT Parks resulted in demand for real estate which in turn turned these hubs into residential areas. Babudom in its infinite wisdom ordered most of these small scale units to shift to a place close to the AP-TN border. How many would do that? Many of them shut shop and left.

Successive Govt's go out on an arm and a leg to support large businesses or big brands. If the same is extended to SME's, they will absorb a good number of people passing out of technical institutes and ITIs.

Tom-tomming ideas is one thing. Putting it successfully into execution is another.

China has openly supported Pakistan's claim on Kashmir.

China has supplied them with lighter RPG's, small arms throughout the 90's. It was only when we paid them back in kind along the Burma border did they back off overt support but moral and diplomatic support remains.

It was China which started issuing stapled visas to people from Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh which led to much heart burn in India.

CCP are total asswipes. Chinese people in general are pretty alright, particularly those who move out of China for good.

Our policy towards China lacked spine and continues to be so... but Modi has at least shown some will to stand up to China after Galwan... people he was once in awe with and considered a natural ally given our shared history.

I meant their stance in UNSC, the persistent attacks like the West makes on them(and even on us in the past). Post 370 abrogation, we saw the first statement by China on "unilaterally change of status quo" in Kashmir. And how many times have we seen the Western asshats commenting on everything in India. CCP are total dickheads, agreed, but joining these hypocritic goras on a bangwagon of "hooman rights violations" in Xinjiang isn't very smart

India should have pushed its own issues, not the "Xinjiang human rights" one, and there are plenty.
