GoI + DRDO should spend money and build a truck mounted replica of ATAGS along the lines of Archer SPGs. They require 0 intervention while firing... just load the shells+charge and go boom boom or simply buy a few 100 pieces of the Archer SPG without worrying about ToT, joint production etc.

A system like that should've been inducted in the past decade given our multi front threat scenario. Systems like these are massive force multipliers of the conventional type and the Archer can operate in an NBC environment as well but then IA might want a system which can fly to a mountain top by itself and go full amphibious too for beach landings. Till such a system is ready, they will be happy inducting K-9 Vajra or some other system that 'suits' them.

Price per Wiki is $4.5 million.

We bought 100 K-9 Vajras for $750 million. Wonder if the price is inclusive of duty, tax etc or just the 'brochure' price. Regardless, taking the figure at face value, that's $7.5 million per unit. Wonder how the math stacks up in favor of the Archer.

A jeep/MUV mounted miniaturized version of Pinaka should also be on paper at least or ensure the Grads are properly serviced with life extensions. The next set of skirmishes will be bloody for every little inch of land. The Chinese seem to be fighting for lost pride too besides strategic gains... they won't tuck tail and run away. We don't know if we will face the Chinese or a hybrid of Chinese, Tibetans, Pakistans and God knows who else. Shouldn't be caught pants down like in Galwan or elsewhere.

You are asking for truck mounted Atags, here traitors are trying to make sure even normal Atags doesn't reach the army.

If you consider a war with China, then the scale will not be controlled by India. This requires careful consideration.

Advantage to China due to larger economy, better infrastructure, large industrial base. However, I understand the war is unlikely to stay at LAC.
Pakistan will activate LOC and forget outside help, but if India gives a bloody nose we shall emerge as a serious military force in the world

If there is a war between China and India, the scale is difficult to control. We should understand it this way.
Agreed, any large-scale war between Indo-China will inevitably invite global players into the game and may end with nuclear exchanges which creates a MAD situation.

We can expect the Pakistan-China nexus to gang up to a 2-front scenario to India, which in retaliation NATO + QUAD will blockade China and Pakistan, which in turn will rope in these countries into a Naval battle with PLAN.

Even in the best-case scenario, we will see complete destruction of Pakistan (economically and militarily exhausted), India partially destroyed (mainly economy and border regions), as well as a partial destruction of China (Economy destroyed, border and coastal cities razed).

All in all, the winners will be NATO + Russia, which had now successfully sent two emerging economies back to the stone ages.

One of the question which keeps popping in mind is why Indian diplomats & army generals are so confident that pakistan won't push a aggressive stance if we go on war with China?
Everytime i watch a Old Pakistani video analysis they always claimed that the biggest mistake which they made was launching a offence on India in 1965 they were late they say that they should have imposed a war exactly the same time when china attacked India. And unlike china pakistan is not bound by geographical constrains.

So what makes generals and Top administration soo confident that pakistan and china will not launch a joint attack?

Make no mistake, Pakistan will 100% invade us, in fact expect Pakistani airbases and Naval ports to be used against us, and the Pakistani army used as mercenaries by PLA.

Nothing is fair in war, and China will take every advantage they can.

But that is all factored in. We always expected a 2-front war and we have had strategies in place since 1962. For example, Sam Manekshaw waited till winter to start the Bangladesh liberation war so that China cannot help Pakistan by invading us.
