The US Army Aviation units are much larger. A single Indian Army Aviation Unit usually has only 10-12 helicopters/drones. A brigade would be 3-4 units. So maybe the composition is:-
10 ALH Dhruv
10 Cheetah
10 Heron
10 Rudra (Maybe)

Mi-17 and Chinook are Air Force heptrs. I will party the day Air Force allows Army to have its own medium lift heptrs like Mi-17 that the Army has been begging for under the Tactical Battlefield Support Helicopter (TBSH). Forget heavy lifters like Chinook, that is not happening.

EDIT: Also, your ORBAT for US Army Aviation is wrong. Kiowas have already been retired and replaced by Apaches. As to why one would replace a Scout Heptr with Apache, I don't know. Maybe being done to continue the stupid American Officer tradition of using Recce units as fighting force.
I think IA will have to start adding medium and heavy weight helicopters, air mobility will be key in the next conflict (with due respect to jointness and intra service rivalry). Currently our vertical lift capacity is as little as 1/10 of US Army, can't remain a bhooka-nanga forever.

Any ORBAT experts on what the composition of the Aviation Bridge?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what a US Army Aviation Brigade composed of (source wiki), these are attached to divisions not corps (unlike IA?), just the numbers:
- 24 AH-64 Apache (heavy attack helicopter)
- 41UH-60 Black Hawk (medium lift utility helicopter + specialised versions)
- 12 CH-47 Chinook (heavy lift utility helicopter)
- 21 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior (light helicopter for reconnaissance)
- 12 MQ-1C UAVs (medium UAV)
- 8 AAI RQ-7B Shadow (light UAV)

My Armchair (maybe wet dream) would be for India Army Aviation Bridge to have (each attached to a corps):
- 16 LCH or Apache
- 16 Rudra
- 16-24 Dhruv
- 16 LUH
- 16 Mi-17 (or equivalent medium lift helicopter)
- 6 Chinook (heavy lift)
- 8 Heron UAV (or equivalent)
- Other light UAVs.
Near Authentic info: Each Army aviation Brigade will have a LUH Flight, a Dhruv CASEVAC Flight, a Rudra helicopter-gunship Flight, plus a UAV Flight for ISR. Each heli Flight will have eight helicopters & the UAV Flight will havbe 6 UAVs.

-Flight- Squadron/Unit. Flights are half a Squadron/Unit. Between 5-6 aircraft. Maybe in Rudra's case it will be an Indpendent Flight though. In case of LUH/Cheetah/Chetak, Dhruv and UAV its going to be an entire Unit.

I can see that the the question "Was it good for India to vacate Kailash in exchange for CCP rollback to Sirijap worth it?" keeps on going.

Remember that the discussions were betwwen our army & CCP (to begin with). Latter on an MEA baboo was also taken along.

So, given the current deployment, orbat/numbers etc, would the IA like to have "x" friction points or "x - 1" friction points?

Given the current force levels, Geo-political scene, internal/economic scene etc, would the MEA like to have a normal headache or a slightly less one?

Was the advantage that we got by taking some of heights/ridges so damn great that we could have FORCED ccp rollback in ALL areas including Depsang, Gogra, Galwan etc.?

The options were between "have a tense eye ball to eye ball confrontation in all areas" versus "have a tense eye ball to eye ball confrontation in all area except one".

IA/MEA would have factored that reduction in the number of friction points would lead to lesser chance of some accidental fights/pushes/shoves etc.

No. And likely not needed. In Sikkim there is space for mechanized warfare but I don't think there is space for it in Arunachal.
Recent pics/videos from Arunachal showed IA practice ATGM firing in Tawang and (Neeraj Raput ig) said this is being done incase PLA mech forces come close. So if they can bring mechanized forces can we also?

Nope. Not sure of exact PLA ORBAT in that sector but they do have a lot of Medium Combined Armed Brigades. Three Medium CABs in WTC, to be precise. Think of those as being similar to the Stryker BCTs of the US Army. PLA Medium CABs will have wheeled armour, like Kestral. We don't have any similar unit in our ORBAT. Even the Kestrel/WhAPs that are planned by Indian Army are meant for R&S Battalions. So we don't have armour fit for that terrain. Moreover, I am not sure if even Wheeled APC units would do well in that terrain. ATGM is also useful for bunker busting and is a standard feature of IA Infantry Battalions, so its not anything special that they are there in Tawang. If PLAGF does plan to deploy Wheeled APC there, I say we should counter that with Attack Heptr, drones and artillery.

Asaphila , possible area where Chinese could intrude next .

knowledgable person on twitter pointed out to me , we have hut posts beyond our official claim line.

meaning LAC was pushed well outside our official border.

similar to what Chinese have done in gogra and PP15

Was that the reason chicoms fuming and released images out of frustration. Need to deploy few batteries of Brahmos & Prahaar in forward areas.
