A massive blunder from GoI. ITBPs have proven to be inadequate in training, strength, equipment, and diplomacy while dealing with Chinese troops, who often come in massive numbers, and in better equipment and armored vehicles.

Also, from unofficial sources, the blunder of Chinese squatting on F4 Pangong Tso happened because ITBP local commander failed to identify the gravity of the threat as well as tackle it. Their platoon of some 50ish soldiers deployed at Maj. Dhan Singh Thapa post between F2 & F3 got beaten black and blue by 200+ Chinese soldiers (video is available).
Even after this, the local ITBP commander delayed conveying the situation to the army, which resulted in F3 & F4 ridges falling to Chinese control.

When ITBP handles the situation, just see the pathetically meek body language and conversation.

When the chad army handles the situation, the Chinese given free golgappas
Govt is practically kneeling infront of China by even leaking it to media. They vacated Kailash heights without complete disengagement and now they are sending feelers to China by this leak that they are ready to place a non offensive force which can be run over when they desire to intrude next time

the guy in first vid was the commander at galwan clash , qi fabio is a commanding officer in PLA . he is been at ladakh for 15 years , long before galwan incident .

:hmm: the chinese use PLA to patrol the LAC and we should keep our army back , why should we even put ITBP guys against the PLA ? bizzare logic :lehappy:

ITBP is the trip wire while the IA is the hammer. Sometimes you do not want to tie up IA resources acting as a trip wire while you need those resources to muster up a cohesive force capable of taking the fight to the enemy.

India wants to be a world competitor. The west innovates and competes , China steals
and competes , what can India do to compete with these 2??
Worked for two years(consider it my past life) with a Govt-Private Biotech organization built under PPP.

It was easily one of the most promising set up back then attracting good talent of desi's from outside India and from within the country.

Ten years later, the chor director(politically connected) has quit and joined a Delhi based Uni. My friends who were promising researchers have left the country. Not one quality researcher remains.

He did everything a leader shouldn't - stymied growth, innovation, debate, knew little to nothing about computational biology, bioinformatics, shot down all suggestions, would consult outsiders, pay them a fat consultation fee and demand a cut in return, sold reagents, reused expensive reagents left after a test, charge the client in full and pocket the money.

These are the kind of folks who are at the helm of affairs in public institutions so things remain in a state of flux.

Understandable why private sector continues to grow and show promise be it pharma or biotech but challenges remain there too.

Appears Govt wants status quo restored at any cost and claim victory before we go to polls.

Somehow dumbfuck bureaucrats have been misguided that clashes happen due to "aggressive Indian army", and not PLAGF, hence placing a placid "patrol police" like ITBP will somehow solve the situation.

Might work on LoC (BSF + Army). The superiority of Chinese mobilization speed means till the time ITBP oldies figure out what is happening, Chinese armor would be already rolling inside our borders. You should see how vulnerable and under-equipped ITBPs are at the border. They have nothing apart from old clunky INSAS, they patrol on foot (some ATVs if god is graceful), not even proper BPJs.

Study up on QRF tactics and doctrine and you will see that ITBP being tasked to patrol may be a good idea. You can always upgrade ITBPs with new rifles, new vehciles, and radios.

Doval doctrine. NSA is calling all the shots.

Army has been reduced to CI and ceremonial role with Babudom having the last call. Feels like a redux of UPA era.

With a difficult negotiator(CDS Rawat) out of the way, some people are having a free run with our security policy. Bailing out Lanka and eventually getting dung on our face has Babudom masterstroke written all over it.
These bureaucrats will literally destroy the nation with their ill thoughts and retarded actions
They seriously think this entire standoff was due to IA aggressiveness
This clearly indicates we need to change our training completely for bureaucrats even existing ones need to learn or at least send them to some better bureaucracy schools in world rather than showing supremacy
I hope the news to be false bcoz the entire thing is going opposite rather IA presence should increase after this standoff
This is frustrating right now and again doing the same mistakes as usual we have never learnt from past as kya farak padta hai jyada se jyada ladakh aur AP me salami slicing karenge na
Thoda seh lenge

MEA - In what was supposed to be an august gathering of PLA by their own admission, the PLA trespassed into Indian territory at multiple points, brutally thrashed our ITBP troopers.
We condemn such aggression in the strongest words. Don't test our resolve or we will condemn it again, and again, and again.

Please grant visa to our students studying medicine in China or their hashtags is giving MEA, PM, HM and EM sleepless nights and ulcer.

I hope so too. Often such leaks are made through select journos to gauge the mood of our people in the mil-sec-strat group including that of the mango people.
With everyday passing, to me our situation seems to be worse. Low iq 2 paise Kai neta,
Ratta mar and apathetic beuroceacy
Free de do and tune ye kaise kr diya janta
No matter how you see it this nation does not make any sense whatsoever.
No national security thought
There is so much gandh if any sane leader came ,the purge will be so massive that prc purges will be seen as foolzadi.
Current NSA guy was IPS. Did not expected much besides begging from sherni .

If this is true then govt is bending backwards to appease China. Instead of giving greater control to Army over ITBP for better coordination and swifter response they are going retrograde. They want to deploy a police force against a bully who respects no rules.
The govt really running shit scared of China.
No one except Toilet Paper of India is reporting, likely FAKE

They are mostly studying stupid discipline like Chinese Traditional Medicine though which has stuff like eating tortured dog meat in winter is good
Most Indian students go to China for MBBS in western medicine.. I think.. China has only 49 approved universities for International students..

Will ITBP be commanded by the Army, like the Assam Rifles ? IF not, then, Mudiji is making it official, that come what may, India will not fight China..

Columnist has no history of reporting on border security issues and has mostly written on judicial/criminal issues over the years. Not sure what to infer from such sudden bizarre piece of news.

Whatever india has achieved in terms of economy since independence , its mostly despite its govt . Not because of it . Socialist india or soviet india cld only offer mediocrity , corruption and poverty with big ideologies .

Well Caught!!

NSA Doval written all over it.

Also NSA should stop spoonfeeding MEA, let MEA do it's work.

Just few days ago mentioned in one post that, it's Vajpayee era redux with NSA calling all the shots.
