How does that help India. The US is not going to get involved unless one of their allies with whom they have a pact is attacked. The US will offer help like intelligence and weapons but will not get directly involved.

In reality, markets tanked because of two things. SEBI came up with some idiotic new margin rules for the equity markets that essentially make sure only big investors can benefit from the COVID market slump, and the wave of "millennial small investors" dumping a few lac rupees out of their savings into the market can be scuttled away. Secondly, the GDP data is scaring some investors. Mostly it's just bullshit by SEBI that turned Dalal St into Halal st.

The salaried middle class is finally wising up to look beyond mutual funds and learning how to play with the equity markets, is figuring out margins and leverages, and that is scaring the shit out of fund managers and big bull madarchods, who lobbied with SEBI to shit on these new investors.

If you consider yourself a "millennial small investor," don't go anywhere. Start picking up some nice stocks. Kick the door and step right in for the long haul. Don't look for short-term gains.

I know off topic but how do "margin rules" have any impact on small investors investing in markets because of "Covid slump"? Margin rules only impact day traders or at best swing traders. Also where is "Covid Slump"? Markets are inching towards all time highs right now.

The status quo has not changed. It's the same old story of perception. See my map #11248 a few pages back. The Chinese claim the LAC includes the spur going into the lake 300-400m North of Thakung. It will be Colonel Blotto game. India being out numbered by China will open multiple fronts once engagement will start. So we will win in some fronts and loose in some. Making it a tie for Chinese.
Till now it has been manuvering its troops from one place to another in order to stop Chinese incursions. Which is why quick access to those border areas is important.
Markets are going to respond very negatively to this. Banking sector shares both success and failures of overall economy so banks will suffer most.
Economic slump due to Corona has already proven that recovery will be slow and painful. As this is demand side impact .
Combined with border clashes this is rubbing salts to our wound. Truly Chinese are worst of our enemies.
