surprising bit is that that the wang guy is summing up all DFI threads of western degeneracy, Burger boys etc. similar observations even though they are written apart in time and space without knowledge of each other.

which leaves us with two possibilities
- we share similar opinion with wang
- wang made CCP to introduce more chaos into american society take advantage of divisions that pre-existed, to prove his theory right.
This wang guy is exactly what an Oriental right-winger would sound like- the same in India, or China or Japan. We are much closer culturally to them than to the West.

Look at the Indian progressive RW (not including those who want to burn down every muzzie)- they will have the exact same dreams- a science-driven society with prosperity for all. Economic growth with cultural roots is what they want (similar to what this Wang guy has been proposing).

So, in my opinion, yes, we share a similar opinion with Wang just like many other RWingers.

- Divisions in Western society came across more after WW2, I suppose. A perpetual existential threat keeps the society united, and an organic culture becomes the binding factor. During India's independence struggle too, such movements were active- religious revivalists like Arya Samaj(believed in the glory days of Early Vedic Times), constitutionalists like INC(rule of law, modern nation-state governed by a constitution), or Communists like HSRA(Atheism, disregard for religion and quest for economic and social equality). Post WW2 there was no real existential threat for the US, and that got almost completely eliminated after the Cold War. And the US never had any organic culture of its own- inhabited by plantation settlers, it is a
piece of land comprising of many groups living in their own world. So, the US, for the foreseeable future will continue to have a positive entropy and sink into chaos, as long as an existential crisis shakes them up.

The same happened with China- they could resist the political liberalism (read Western model of democracy, free speech, secularism) with the iron hands, but individualism that comes with the high ask- high return game of capitalism seeped into their societies, taking them onto a trajectory similar to that of their Western counterparts. A Chinese worker in an urban center would think more like an urban worker in the West than his fellow compatriots in the villages.

What's strange is the fact that how they plan to undo the cultural genocide that they did? China in the 70s could bear the brunt of mass social engineering when people lived in isolation with meager resources, and there was no international game involved, can they still do it today?

Such a in depth and well written article.

I remember vividly a very similar comment written by a Chinese living in Singapore a month or two back when the online education market of China was being wiped overnight.

There was this debate going on about how China seems to be turning it's back on the same ideals which brought in so much prosperity it's shores and how these draconian measures might hurt china in the long term.

In the entire thread a single comment was left highlighted but unanswered. From a societal point of view would the west agree that a middle class family in china today would finally breathe a sigh of relief because a system which was sucking in huge amounts of money without providing any tangible results has finally ended. A system where unwanted competition is being created even though nothing in the exams or it's pattern has actually changed.

Take BYJU's for example the overall feedback of this e education company is extremely negative. A online company which traps gullible parents with fake promises and targets and forces them to shell out huge amounts of money at regular intervals by promising more and more or even using predatory and forced tactics to extract money is today a much know high valuation company.

The entire company's existence is based on leeching on the hard earned savings of a cash strapped middle class while trying to increase extra competition unnecessarily. After all education is not a for profit market.

While it might be seen as an achievement by economic advisors to have such budding startups what it actually signifies is a ever growing deeper rot in our education system which is resulting in disoriented and untrained workforce flooding the job markets in droves while weakening the financial conditions of their respective families.

Wealth distribution tells a similar story. The richest 10 per cent Indians owned 80.7 per cent of wealth in 2019.

The Gini (inequality in income distribution) coefficient points to an increasing inequality in India. The coefficient in 2014 was 34.4 per cent (100 per cent indicates full inequality and 0 per cent full equality).

The coefficient increased to 35.7 per cent in 2011 and to 47.9 per cent in 2018. India is only second to Russia in the world in terms of inequality.

The west idolizes money even if it comes at the cost of the next 10 people living their lives at the extreme bottom barrel of the society. It is a culture which forces even the poor to spend more to keep up with societal standards even if it results in a vicious cycle of him being stuck in the same place due to his inability to save up his money.

Similarly when the new labor and tech laws came into effect they were directly aimed at the lower class and new tech startups coming into existence. The goal was to improve the lives of the lower class and also preventing a tech monopoly or duopoly in the market.

All these problems that wang talks about are visible in Indian society. Celebrity worship culture the exploited being overexploited a materialistic society straying away from Hinduism.

Today almost 40 million Americans “live in housing they cannot afford.” Homeownership has gone down and rental prices keep going up, meaning that millions of residents are forced to pay more than they reasonably should.

Family culture student loans humility respect for your elders teachers knowledge is all fading away from America.

These plans will surely be used for the personnel benefit of a few people it overall represents a remarkable shift by a country to stop it's own cultural and societal death at the hands of liberalism before the entire country is fractured as we are witnessing in America.

Was going to post this in the jokes thread but then I realised this is NOT a joke. Presenting warm news with positive energy from Sina

They were trending about india's coal shortage in their social media to divert the attention from power cut going on in their country .. Also there were posters on their public places on bad covid situation in india 😅 That is a significant shift . Because such propaganda was mostly about usa , japan etc in past .. I dont think india was ever in chinese imagination .

 100 PLA detained for 4 hours , but then release the pics , or atleast have the MEA do press release .

only thing worse than this be false is it being true and being brushed under the carpet by Gov.

saw a post on weibo - a person with contact with PLA officers is claiming that indians are aggressively blocking chinese patrols in AP, more now than ever.

i think there will be a 100+ standoffs in AP this or next month.

they have been building there for ages , they added a helipad recently.

we also have been building on our side.
I'm pretty sure the next flashpoint will either be Tawang or anjaw sector fishnets

2 major problems here-
1) Ore export, finished metal import- Cure- Power sector reforms (cheaper electricity), Logistics Cost reduction (Programs like Gatishakti, DFC, Sagarmala and others implemented in letter and spirit), and Cost of Capital (RBI going slightly easy on the monetary policy during the growth phase, securing finances from the Gora sahebs in the name of Build Back Better, Solar Financing, Green Bonds etc. Basically govt taking cheaper external debt leveraging it's relations with the Western partners and not crowding out the domestic capital market for its borrowings)

2) Electronics Import- Cure- PLI for Electronics manufacturing, setting up foundries to build semiconductor chip from ground up- pretty capital intensive but worth it.

Once these bits are taken care of, other major import heads can be controlled- most of the capital goods, APIs, and chemicals have their substitute in the US and the EU markets. Indian companies prefer the Chinese ones as they are cheaper and more flexible to work with (a Chinese supplier will happily take an order to shipment lead time of 2 weeks for which your European snobs will ask for a 6-8 weeks freeze time. They love bureaucracy). Govt can impose tarrif, strike CECA with EU countries and the US to weed them out.

Tawang is pretty well defended. Specially after 71 div was raised and deployed there along with 5 div. The only sector where they have an advantage is the zimithang sector. PLA dominates our positions on the Tsangdhar ridge line sitting on top of Thagla ridge north of Namka chu river, but this area has been peaceful without any transgression. Yangtse is a flashpoint but we have the heights there so we can spot any PLA patrol well in advance. In all other sectors of tawang dist we are in a pretty good position including Chuna/Tulung la where an AR patrol was ambushed in late 70s. In Anjaw, kibithu sector is well defended, with roads right up to the LAC and we have the heights there as well, but in fish tail area the last post Rochham is quite far from the LAC without any roads the last road head is Chaglagam from where the LAC is around 70km. This area witnesses lot of transgressions which is not reported in the media. We reach the area but not before the chinese intrude 15-20km inside our territory. If they can break through this area they can cut off access to walong and kibithu and this area is a cause of concern defended by just one brigade the 82 lohit bde. Fishtail 1 in dibang valley is also a cause of concern but we have moved a bde there so things are improving, but we need roads. Most of the fwd posts are not accessible by roads and that can affect troop mobilization on time.
