Army buys 17 boats to move troops faster at Pangong Tso amid India-China stalemate at LAC

New Delhi:
The Indian Army has bought 17 flat bottomed boats, the majority of them to be deployed at the Pangong Tso in eastern Ladakh for rapid deployment of troops in case of contingencies, ThePrint has learnt.

The development comes following the months-long standoff with China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) last year.

..................

According to top defence sources, the boats will be procured from Goa-based Aquarius Shipyard Pvt Ltd, the shipyard that built the sailing vessel Thuriya on which Indian Navy’s Commander Abhilash Tomy embarked on the prestigious Golden Globe race from France in 2018.

Similar boats are already in service with the Indian Navy, the sources added.

The delivery of the first few boats has already begun and is set to be completed by September. A majority of them will be inducted in eastern Ladakh for now. The rest could be deployed at other locations, as and when required.

This ig is true, after August last year IA had ordered such boats as the chinese had better built boats with protections and they use to ramm our boats which didn't have protection. Hopefully we have started receiving them as the ice would have melted at Pangong tso

BRO links two more sensitive areas with roads, bridges on China border
By Mayank Singh

3 minutes

NEW DELHI: The standoff in Eastern Ladakh since May 2020 stimulated the road construction and bridge laying on all the sensitive points. Also, the road formation going towards Northern Borders saw a major push.

Sources confirmed an important bridge towards Doka La in Sikkim has been launched by the Border Roads Organisation, and Yangtse in Arunachal Pradesh has been linked with roads. “Launch of Indigenously-developed (by GRSE) 140’ double lane Class-70 modular bridge in Sikkim (to Dokala) is complete, and forward location of Yangtse in Arunachal Pradesh is now connected with road.” said the source.

Doka La in Sikkim, Yangtse in Arunachal, and Dungti in Ladakh are all forward areas near Line of Actual Control (LAC) and all these have been the locations of standoff and skirmishes in the past.

There is an easy way for disputes at LAC to be resolved and it turned into an international border.

We will also get parts of aksai chin too.

we just have to do one thing.

Hand over Tawang.

Tawang is to China , as Kashmir is to Pakistan. When they talk of "cooperation" , "talks" , this is what they have in mind.

And Indian establishment are naive enough to think that China will stop only after taking Tawang.

We will never give up Tawang.

Cant really blame Chinese for being upset over Tawang tho.

British forced Tibetan gov to hand over Tawang because they thought the Republic of China (people who ended up ruling taiwan) would invade India via Tawang plains.

Pretty much the reason they start randi rona anytime , any leaders visit Tawang.

Of course the CCP are big peice of shit , so its all good , they deserve to get fucked. 😊

Han, The man, who ran a hotel in India for more than a decade, is shown above in a video interview with Hong Kong-based website ifeng.com on April 28, 2020. The hotel's main customers are tourists from East Asian countries, such as Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and so on,Local mobile phone cards are sometimes sold to customers for local use,This is open to the tourism industry.
Han, Many Chinese see him as a Indian flatterer, because he often praises India in China, including in interviews, saying that India's epidemic prevention is not as bad as outsiders think.

[# Real India under the epidemic #] Han Junwei has lived in India for 11 years. In his view, India's fight against the epidemic was so tough that it was strictly forbidden to go out, and individual states even allowed the police to shoot. At present, more than 20 Chinese are stranded in his hotel, all of which are unable to return home because of the sudden closure of the city in India. However, they still have more confidence in the Indian government. "some media on the Internet always like to talk about the negativity of India, but in fact, the real India is not as bad as it is said on the Internet."
