True, but this was in contradiction to your claim about Tibetans being doves. Tibetans can be trained to insurgency. Plus, look at what the Tibetans did to the Hui M's a few years back. Didn't look peaceful to me. But I digress.
Tibetans can certainly be trained for insurgency but CCP being a authoritarian regime will crush them brutally. IMO we cannot provide any substantial support to them.Look at Hong Kong we all remember how the protest was crushed even though it was "non violent" so to speak and supported by western powers. We can definitely start by not recognizing chinese rule over Tibet do a bit of real ground work before going kinetic.

Probably not at that part of the Indo-Pacific.

Interestingly, in US. When they say 'Asia'. It usually means East Asia (+ few parts Southeast Asia)
In the US, Asia = China predominantly (or anyone who has similar slant eyed features which includes most of south east Asia and Japan). Their sense of geography is questionable to put it mildly..

Tibet is an absolute worse place for the insurgency, unfortunately. Barren cold desert with no place to hide.

But that is the last issue, the biggest issue is that Tibetian Buddhism is the second most peaceful religion ever possible, after Jainism. If you think Hindus are impotent and follow ahimsa, Tibetian Buddhists are like absolute human-form of doves.
They will self-immolate themselves rather than picking up a stick.
Weren't they effective back in 50's.

Someone here pointed that back in 50s Tibetan insurgents aided by CIA planned and executed several ambushes ,if i remember correctly they killed the PLA western thetre commander or some other senior officer along with several soldiers.

I think Xi jinping is really afraid that US + India could kickstart it again , which is why IMHO he commented about turning tibet into fortress .

Indian forces to get local choppers even before formal contract

New Delhi: Indian forces facing China’s aggression in Ladakh will shortly receive indigenous attack helicopters which have proven their worth in high altitude areas during recent tests, adding muscle to the airborne fleet that currently consists of AH 64E Apache choppers.

The new production hangar set up last year can reach a peak production of 30 helicopters per year. The LCH has successfully carried out a range of missions, including firing of an air-to-air missile – the first by a chopper developed in India. It is also equipped with a 20mm Turret gun and 70 mm rockets, the firing trials of which have already been completed.

says the report!

Once inducted in the Armed forces, HeliNa missile will be integrated with the weaponised version of the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, HAL built combat helicopter Rudra and Light Combat Helicopter (LCH).
