Bhutan is under the protection of India. An attack on them is considered an attack on India.

Next what we are looking at is china trying to create multiple pathways to siliguri corridor which is a highly strategic point for India.

Also in the face of continues onslaught of china and no help from India bhutan might buckle under pressure and make a deal with china.

So Bhutan's protection and the need to push chinese back is extremely important to maintain our strategic posture vis a vis china.
My reply was mostly about the propaganda in the article headline, how they word it like china is inside india & building villages

Nothing new here. Same 1 week old story being reported here with alarming words.
Better for India to take counter actions before Chinese finish building their villages, bases, bridges, roads, etc. Otherwise Chinese will take over more and more Bhutanese territory.

What can India do if Bhutan doesn't need our military help in this particular case. Our side (Sikkim) infrastructures are great. We dominate Chumbi Valley, We don't need anything. Onus on Bhutan.

As I've said before, it is no longer Bhutanese territory after PLA occupied it, so Bhutan cannot tell India what to do on this territory; as PLA is building bases on it that threaten India's interests.
So India should enter this area and build military infrastructure around PLA positions to protect its interests. Those interests include stopping further ingress of PLA into Bhutanese territory.
If India lets China/PLA get away with this, it will not stop stealing more and more Bhutanese territory. Chinese Communist Party and the PLA are criminals, pure and simple. If you let them get away with it without consequences, they will steal as much as they can.

one flight of a B-52 bomber would wipe out every single Chinese soldier and infrastructure on the border. India should have bought strategic bombers .

Bhutan is ranked as happiest nation in the world. :cool1:
You dont become happiest nation in world by worrying about things :truestory:

Maybe Chinese made a deal with Bhutan and we dont mind as our interests are secured.

Would be interesting to see how far they will continue to nibble and build .

You are missing the big picture, and getting lost in the particulars of Doklam.

If China occupies any area of Bhutan and uses it to threaten India, then Bhutan no longer has any say in how India deals with China in this area. India should build military positions/infrastructure with soldiers and equipment around Chinese/PLA positions in such an area to counter it. This is no different than what India did in Siachen vs Pakistan and China.
India has every right to safeguard its interests against China, and that includes fighing China over a piece of land that it has illegally occupied to threaten India.
It is also in India's interests to stop further Chinese takeover of Bhutanese territory, so it should build defenses in this PLA occupied area to achieve this goal.
CCP/PLA are criminals and thieves, and will not stop stealing territory unless they are actively stopped by India.

Federal election was last year. Current Liberal Government won comfortably. They are doing well over main Labour (left) opposition. Strong borders and strong economy key election points.

Next election 2022. Current government, if they continue on current steady path should win again. They handled pandemic very well.

Re China, Government and ALL OPPOSITION are United against, what everyone, sees as CCP bullying.

All politicians and majority of public and media calling to push back on CCP and maintain line against them.

Some politicians even calling for tariffs on Australian iron ore exports to China which has fuelled China the past 30 years or so.

Looks like the CCP has United most Aussies against it.

Aussies won’t back down against China.
Australia has a big Chinese origin population. How do they feel about this sentiments.
One of my friend went to live in Sydney 2 years back, he said there are so many of chinese origin citizens everywhere he goes in the city, its practically flooded with them.

They will come till the junction of Torsa River and the river coming from Doklam Plateau (27.2312, 89.0172). From the river junction they might plan to reach Jhemperi Ridge Line bypassing Merug La and Sinche La Pass from where they tried in 2017. That's the ultimate plan.

Bhutan is not India's Harem that you go invade Bhutan and they will say nothing.

You are not invading Bhutan, because the territory has already been invaded and stolen by China and is now being used by China to target India. So Bhutan is no longer in the picture, with regard to this area. Bhutan is also not China's harem that China can go and invade Bhutanese territory and India will not do anything.

So India should build up military positions in this area to counter the Chinese/PLA positions in order to safeguard its interests. And Bhutan may ultimately be grateful for stopping further theft of its territory by the Chinese Communist Party/PLA criminals.

In order, the Delhi High Court has ordered Xiaomi India to maintain an amount of Rs 1,000 crores in their bank accounts which are operated in India, till the next date of hearing the defendants. Xiaomi has also been asked to file the details of the bank accounts operated in India where the amount of Rs 1000 crores is being maintained, on or before December 02, 2020, reads the Delhi High Court order.

Actually the number of people in Australia born in India is almost the same as those born in China.

Why your friend perceived what he did was likely because Sydney is the most diverse city in Australia and has a large population of EAST Asians.

A lot of new Chinese Australians very quite in mainstream media re CCP for many reasons.

Concern among some here that they might get targeted next if relations with China get worse especially by some stupid rednecks.

FYI population of Australia about 25million. GDP around USD $1.3 trillion. So it is a wealthy country.
