And of course the Russians have no comparable to MQ9 b Reaper drone platform. With India now having access to very decent US tech, dynamics of indo-Russian strategic partnership is certainly on shaky grounds. Indian Navy’s overall procurement will now largely be western tech to gain operational compatibility as Russians really have no presence in the Indian Ocean like the Americans, Japanese, Brits and French do. Russia also seems satisfied with the Chinese stealing/reversing their technologies despite loud protests of recent theft of advanced Russian naval plans from St. Petersburg. Google Maps locations in China are innacurate because CCP government doesn't allow phoren companies to survey/map China or sell it's own map data to phoren companies.

So basically the Indian e-commerce scene is a battleground between american companies, just like the social media scene is.

this will also be true in the future for any techniology or innovation by India others will take it over. India has never had a leadership role in any market and I doubt would be able to maintain one with the fierce competition from other countries.

Russia is in a very complex geo-political position. It has a relatively small population sitting on a large land mass. The wilderness of Siberia is no longer inaccessible or low value with modern technology. So Russia has a very difficult job of competing with countries with bigger populations and better technology base trying to snatch territory from Russia.

India should keep relations with Russia even if such relations seem useless at times.
