ISRO has been hacked numerously by N Korean hackers previously. We need serious capabilities in that sector.
Indian capability in hacking is actually quite decent - an offshoot of its IT capability. Also organizations like ISRO dont put confidential stuff on Internet exposed computers, such computers are typically on a separate internal network.

Why is it wishful thinking ?

Notifying an ADIZ doesnt take much. Enforcing it - maybe. But even a notification puts doubt and a possibility of enforcing it. If we claim POK and Aksai Chin, this includes the overflight rights
We are basically a reactive kind of power.. If China is showing Arunachal in its maps we'll also do the same & show Aksai Chin in ours. That's what we do. We always had a claim over PoK & Aksai.. All I am saying what you are suggesting is extremely unlikely. Our Governments don't work that way.

Govt computers and laptops come with a version of Linux, this may vary state to state and type of usage of the computer. and the applications like spreadsheet mail are usually open source even if windows is installed.

:hmm: Looks like navy has also started adopting BOSS for office use,Tamil nadu has made BOSS mandatory for goverment computers.

:) its also freely available https://bosslinux.in/

Individuals yes, the state? No.
China, Russia, America, Israel all have very strong state owned hacker groups.
India barely pays attention to it's own Cybersec, let alone doing any kind of offensive hacking of the enemies' systems for espionage or cyberwarfare( i.e take out power supply, water, trains, cripple the enemies' infrastructure basically ) .
Guess this is one more "benefit" of a system where everything is run by complacent IAS "professionals" by default, and only only actual change can be brought if the PM pays attention to specific matters and applies foot to ass, ofcourse the PM can't micro-manage everything, so these self serving babus always survive.

Keyboard bahadurs( and keyboard Usmans acting as bahadurs ) rejoicing over this.
Great care must be taken that this Chinese backed poison doesn't afflict our Gorkha regiments.

Kerala govt offices also use Linux, not sure if it's BOSS or some other distro.
Good to see it is getting traction, the latest version has a very modern looking UI.

Chellaney's recent article has shifted the focus back to Depsang plains. According to him China in disguise of all these talks encroached further & strengthened its position along vital Bottleneck Y Junction. Patrolling is now effectively stopped.

So far all the details of this are quite sketchy. TOI has also picked up the issue.

It is time to take some offensive readjustments now.
Their scheme, just like their mullah pets, banks upon the kaffir/yindo not doing anything offensive, fearing escalation, with the mullahs it was muh nukes inshallah, with these people it is *insert GT bluster here *.

It is better the details remain obscure. Judging from resident Chinese agents China is playing publicity and psyops games rather than interested in fighting... so let us block Chinese moves of gaining publicity to spread fears in Indian minds.. in without fighting...

Found this on BRF... Earlier assumption was Bottleneck was not easily accessible to Indian side. Earlier Zee news was also talking about it today.

Depsang-map.jpg

So far there has been news of Massive buildup on both sides. Not a lot of information is coming. I doubt GOI will share anything about it in all party meetings. At the moment its all about survival in winter.

Haven't they done it already. What the point of writing this article. If our Gov is going to play pussy, than there's nothing military can do. They have to take the call from the PM naa.

The only time we have remaining is the winters, which I believe is going to be tough. If we want any gains, that's going to very slow in winter, if not any.
Written Mr.Chellaney.. he keeps hashing his old arguments and tries to stay relevant

I think the military minds must decide which offensive/defensive actions to take.

If we lost so much land in Congress regimes, it is certain that Chinese are sitting very comfortable and we must prepare for a hard fight.

When push comes to shove, the Chinese will be target practice on the Depsang plains. Their route back to the mainland will be blocked and once Indian airpower comes into play, the Chinese will get decimated. In their desperation, they seem to be taking extreme risks.
