We have this son, dont know if we are using it now.

Watch: DRDO develops P-7 Heavy Drop System for para drop of military stores

Son, this Still does not explain how do you deploy heavy vehicles in mountain tops. Paradropping is prone to deflection and is suitable for plains or plateaus. Not mountains. Specially in an airspace as hostile as this. Atleast think before saying just anything.

This guy's reasoning behind marking which camp is which is based on roads that lead from Chinese positions. Does he realize that SFF guys don't need proper tracks to scale the heights?

From Saurav Jha (twitter):
According to ANI commanders have been told to 'prevent Chinese transgressions at any cost', while also ensuring there is no 'extra display of strength or overuse of force'. This is exactly the kind of impossible to follow & politically expedient directive New Delhi should avoid.

This is the problem. There is a kind of psy ops trick that the Chinese have employed which is holding India back from using its full military capability, to China's advantage. The Chinese are nothing. India needs to go all out and annihilate the Chinese. Only then will China back away.
Exactly. No sense in tying the army’s hands. You are unnecessarily putting pressure on the commander on the ground and this may result in loss of life that could be avoided. Look at what directives like that did in Galwan. Everything should be black and white now. If they try to transgress just shoot. Only then will the Chinese learn.

The kind of structures PLA has made between Finger 4-8 almost look like a mini suburb out there. I think war is the only option which will throw them out.
Good thing is we are controlling heights on F4.. I think we should use cluster bombs to wipe them out.
It'll be interesting to see which of us will use Air force first.

Chinese are addicted to the game of Go and I am sure their Peasant Guerilla Generals can not be an exception.

Go is a game of occupation of territory on a board. The one who occupies maximum territory is the winner. The picture looks like this :

One look at Nathan Rusters stellite images depicting Chinese and Indian deployment looks exactly like a Go game board. I have written a few posts here about how Chinese military commanders like to play GO on the military field. Now it appears the game is highly contagious and it has spread to Indian Generals and the public.

Indian Generals can not cast away their basic cultural instincts of the game of Chess. Chess is not the game of territory but that of deft moves to impose defeat on the enemy. Indian Military appears to have forgotten the moves of football to score goals rather than to spread all over the football field.

In this environment of the game of Go which the Chinese are playing Indian generals must concentrate on "Shah aur Maat" ... operation moves that will score a crippling goal so that Chinese hogs are flat on the ground and decide to quit the board rather than go to another corner to start places the stone to gain another piece of territory.

Come on generals play Chess when Chinese invited you for a game of Go. Target the King and the queen...

Should we not revoke LAC agreement for its hostility and ask them to get out of Ladakh in entirety until the dispute is settled between Indian and Chinese administration?

As of 2014, about 5,000 missiles are being produced every year while an advanced variant is under development with enhanced range and accuracy.

On 29 October 2015, the Defence Acquisition Council chaired by the Defence Minister of India, cleared purchase of two more Pinaka regiments at a cost of ₹3,300 crore (US$460 million).
On March 18, 2016, the Cabinet Committee on Security(CCS) cleared the purchase of two additional Pinaka regiments.
To supplement the earlier 4 regiments, an order for additional six regiments was cleared by the Defence Acquisition Council on 7 November 2016.

Presently, 7 regiments of Pinaka have now been inducted by the Army.
A total of 126 launcher units are active with combine of the 7 regiments, with Each regiment has 18 launcher units.

An additional 3 are on order and in November 2016 the MoD has cleared a RFP for 6 more regiments. This led to the signing of a contract on 31 August 2020 for six additional regiments worth of launchers at Rs 2,580 crore from Tata Power Company Ltd (TPCL)and engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T). Defence public sector undertaking Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) which will provide the vehicles will also be part of the project
