With development of cheap kamikaze drones like the ones showcased on Indian Army day.. the threat to soldiers perched on mountain peaks manning isolated posts at high altitudes along LAC and LOC will be high in a future conflict. and can demoralize our soldiers, negating the advantages of higher elevation..
Although bigger high flying drones like Predator, Bayraktar and wing loong can be easily shot down by SAM systems.. How do we tackle these smaller lethal drones ..
Arming soldiers in these posts with weapons like SMASH is one solution.. But, using it at night is difficult.. Are there any infantry level drone hammers being developed by Indian industry.. and which the army is planning to procure.. ?

instead they will send some "civilians" + PLA across arunachal pradesh border and do dharna on our land.

like they are doing in demchok now except in much larger numbers.

Why is Japan keen on exercise with IAF Sukhoi fighters?

Earlier this week, Japan's Sankei Shimbun newspaper reported the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the Indian Air Force had agreed to hold the exercise by the end of this year in "view of the threat of China".


The Sankei Shimbun noted this would be the first time the JASDF would be holding an exercise with a fighter of Russian design. The report claimed the Indian Air Force would deploy six Su-30MKI fighters for the proposed exercise.

If you think that demo was for Cheap Kamikaze Drones, you would be missing the point. It actually was a demo of the AI which can control/command/manage 'n' number of drones. The drones themselves can be low/high tech. You needs exponentially more funds to do the same demo with not so cheap drones.
Agree to the concerns you put out there. DEW both portable n not so portable would be the answer. India's getting pretty good at both DEW and Sensor/Detection tech. If I remember correctly, 12 of portable ones (not man portable) have been or are in the process of being deployed in some border areas.

Few updates after a long time -

• We are making a double-lane blacktopped road from North Pangong Tso to Gogra. Blacktopping progressing on a war footing.
• Gogra general area, we are strengthening our position, creating more barracks, digging trenches, etc.
• [Unverified] Elements of the 9th Corps are also present in Ladakh. That makes around nearly 2.5-3 corps-strength of the force defending Ladakh.
• We are creating a huge army camp at F1 to match PLA's camp at Sirijap. The camp probably is also defended by anti-air elements.
