Once the government is established and has gained enough formalization, that'll change. It might not go to the degree of high value assets, but the Chinese will do their best to secure a friendly relation with the Taliban so they can continue their commercial operations in Afghanistan.
Taliban cannot form the govt. as it appears now. No neighbor’s will give advanced weapons to them. Where as Afghan govt. will get air supports and funds from international community.
What you are saying is true.. unless Pakistan Army decides to go all in and practically invade Afghanistan in Salwars.. and supply Taliban with advanced weaponry.. If that happens then all bets are off.. and that might be the death knell for Pakistan, as there would be a major international reaction if Pakistan does this extreme g*ndmasti
It seems the Taliban is winning though, and pretty rapidly. All those assets are great and all but they cannot solve the systemic issues and deficiencies with the Afghan government and military now.
Not really, they just have to continue doing what they've been doing for so long. They were supporting the Taliban even when the Americans were in Afghanistan, what with the Kunduz airlift and all. Although, the US might go diplomatically guns blazing once they have no ties to Afghanistan.

What I meant was Taliban cannot take over major cities with the current level of Pakistan Army support.. Yes, a couple of cities may fall.. But most cities won't.. Pakistan Army has to step up in support of the Taliban, if major cities have to come under total Taliban control..

Taliban consolidating in Afghanistan will have consequences all around the Central Asian neighbors. The talks between Taliban and China or any other country negotiating with Taliban is to manage the problem . Not to accept the radical govt. setup of Taliban.

Chinese can have a point of view but that point of view is same for all Chinese as their point of view has to be the CPC point of view and CPC point of view is dictator Xi's point of view. Therefore, what is Jinping's point of view is every Chinese' point of view. They are bought up in a way to have a point of view same as that of its dictatorial regime's point of view.
