@mist_consecutive you think a Chinese offensive is on its way?

Do they have enough troops and equipment to make a push or launch a major offensive?
Not right now, probably in late September-October if they are planning. The intent will be 1-2 months of intense offensive and push followed by strengthening of gained positions in the long winter.

Do they have enough troops? Not enough to make any gains. Especially not after this -

Xi has painted himself into a corner, he can neither back down nor wage an open war. By provoking India, he has clearly bitten off more than he can chew

However, far from succeeding in putting India down, China today finds itself locked in a tense military stalemate with its largest neighbor. If Xi attempts to break the stalemate with a war, he is unlikely to secure a decisive win

They can just stall around till the next election. If Congress comes in, then China can just say ''Bazinga''

China in focus, Army’s Strike Corps units reach Ladakh as part of ‘rebalance’ strategy
Strike Corps units, which have been dual tasked with focusing on Pakistan and China, reach Ladakh amid massive deployment by China.

New Delhi:
Specialised elements of a Strike Corps have reached Ladakh and the soldiers are undergoing reorientation training and familiarisation as part of the Army’s efforts to ‘rebalance’ its deployment on the northern, western and northeastern borders.

According to sources in the defence and security establishment, various new elements from the Strike Corps have reached Ladakh, including certain artillery units with specialised firepower, armoured and mechanised columns as well as the infantry.
