how many factories does India have that employ over 1000 people?
How many lol? My unknown fifth tier native city in outskirts of Haryana had at least 2 outside industrial estate alone.
And all were heavy equipment/industrial machinery companies, real factories and not underwear stitching tailor shops.

Bangladeshi industry against Indian industry is good as PSL against IPL. All social media boasting and shouting but null & void in real world.

There is nothing just for fun in what I said. Just because tea leaf making and garments stitching are called industries, you can't dream of third and fourth industrial revolution on basis of it.

Bangladesh is a proto industrial primitive society with pathetically low scientific infestation in communities. It is well below lowest Asian industrial standards and lies at par with agriculture/pre-industrial sub-Saharan Least Developed Countries (LDCs), in fact, Bangladesh itself has been classified as an LDC for this reason. Classified as a country where required labour skillset, technological penetration & adoption and modernity in society is below the usual standards of other poor countries.

If Bangladesh stops selling USD to buy BDT, it's artificially propped GDP per capita will fall back to $1,000-1,500 levels.

It actually reflects in the way their country looks, this is their capital city, a literal slumhole with no visible prosperity, ranked 4th least liveable city on earth.

While here's a Tier-3 Indian city like Bhubaneshwar

Thats cuz they have centralized everything into Dhaka with less or almost nil attention given to other cites/towns in country.. hence there might wealth but the slum dwelling almost with low rise buildings gives its a cityscape of Patna ..

Dishonest comparison tbh mate.
Bhubaneshwar might be a tier 3 city but it is not like the other ones because it is a capital and even among them It is an exception.
True tier 3 cities are Gaya, Asansol, Sambalpur, Meerut, Gorakhpur.
One upping Bangladesh is nothing to be proud of.

You too can be said to be selective by calling these bimaru cities as the "real T3 cities", even among them most are getting Metro rail infra something their entire lungidesh can't despite all efforts.

If you dislike Bhubaneshwar, you can take Panchkula, Mohali, Gandhinagar, Greater Noida, Panvel, etc into consideration.

And if Bhubaneshwar is a capital city, then so is Dhaka and that too of a country claiming to be richer than India.

Isn't that pretty much the state of India as well?
In a country with 150 million population they have 1 large city and 2 to 3 other small cities that garner all the investment and attention.
Reminds you of something?
UP with a population of 220 million has Nodia as its epicenter and Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi as other major cities.
Bihar With Patna and Gaya,Bhagalpur.
Jharkhand with Ranchi, Bokaro and Jamsehdpur.
Bengal with Kolkata, Asansol, siliguri.
Madhya Prasehs with Bhopal, indore, jabalpur.

Selective?
Mate get a list of all tier 3 cities in India and out of that Select the ones with decent living cities like the one listed below. How many do they make up? Not even 25%. Most tier 3 cities are shit.
you dislike Bhubaneshwar, you can take Panchkula, Mohali, Gandhinagar, Greater Noida,
All the cities you mentioned are extention to previous cities or in shadow of them.

Panchkula and Mohali are extention of Chandigarh and so us the case of Gandhinagar and even Noida.

Show me a case where a smart city came up naturally without being in close of other major cities.

BIMARU comparison is more than valid because both Bimaruland and Kangla share the same issues and Physical limitations.
