I think him getting elected is unlikely and yes, he's going against the most dangerous force in the world, I think that's plain naive.

However, if we can cultivate leaders in that direction, the ones who can influence people to think along meritocracy than quotas, nation first over religion, wealth isn't evil, etc—and able to influence the next generation, it'll have a good effect.

You might not change people immediately, but building a narrative for 20 years down the line is fine.

If we are to ever be a Global Power, we'll need to deal with the deep rooted issues within our society. Meritocracy and Freebie-addicted public are two big parts.

Regarding religion, the change needs to start with Muslim society and we need leaders like him in there. It's unlikely now but if GOI can grow the balls to dismantle their street power, we can push leaders like him into their community and change it from within.

Indian muslims are't radical bcoz they are born like that, they are conditioned that way—both by their community and the state. If state stops the endorsement (mainly courts), change in their community can begin.

It sounds like a distant dream but hey, a man can dream.
