This is an average European/American white person to you. Australians are worse.

White population largely lives on sub modern portrayal of world beyond their countries with no specific elaborations. For them, there is no difference between Somalia, Iran or India.
Obviously their confirmation bias was quite worse in 60s-80s era when Asia used to be poorer than even Africa.
Asian countries catching up in past 30 years has actually changed and improved their minds very much, though, effects of indoctrination will remain.

It is the usual to case of alliance between far leftists and far right Islamists to destabilise the governments in their countries, everywhere in world. They do it regularly in India, Europe, UK, US or any other democracy in world, wherever freedom of speech is available along with shields for "oppressed".
