That's not true there has been cases of racial attacks on non-whites especially Indians in Russia during 90s-2000s. Growing up I used to hear news about Indian Medical Students getting beaten up by neo-Nazi groups or the gopniks in Moscow especially the Biker Gangs. Even the Russian Admin would advise the students to take precaution and not to venture outside on Hitler's birth anniversary etc. One of my neighbor in Lucknow his nephew who was a medical student got his arm broken by bunch of drunk Gopniks in St Petersberg in early 2000s during a late evening subway (metro) ride. We dont hear much these days maybe things have gone better in the recent years ..
