In addition to the previous post where we could see another genrail make such a statement about karma.
Panag also bypassed govt info sources and declared the death.
I think that was just disrespectful.

Panag is a political partisan, but this was too low even for him.

Now if you remember, there was a a guy here who had argued that there was a lot of anti pathy towards rawat.
He said it was because of politicisation of army or something, didn't explain much.
This was some years ago I think.
Came across the comment while I was lurking here.

Panag had also raised it in an article in print.

So my question is, what to make of these disgraceful comments and other rumblings in the background?

They are still swimming in British piss ever since India got independence, let them drown in it together.

Deeply saddened.
Solutions? <just listing some>
  1. Increase physical and virtual (simulator) flying hours of pilots with simulation of faults and weather conditions
  2. Increase frequency of audit and inspection of parts and their quality
  3. Address the risk taking assessment and raise the safety standard
  4. ...buy modern machines with the highest safety ratings

IAF and Indian Navy were worried about Army domination once the position of CDS is created. To negate such fears, CDS Post must be rotated between Three Services. Unlike Pakistan where an Lieutenant General is appointed to the post of CJOSC.
It should not be rotated. The most competent man should occupy the post. No one cares about feelings.

India’s enemy number 1 is China, not Pakistan: CDS General Bipin Rawat's last remarks on LAC row at Times Now Summit 2021

New Delhi:
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, who passed away on Wednesday, in a tragic chopper crash in Tamil Nadu, was the chief guest at the Times Now Summit 2021 last month, where he said that China, and not Pakistan was 'India's biggest enemy'. Rawat's comments at the Times Now Summit 2021 were arguably his last public remarks on the India-China tensions before his untimely demise on Wednesday.

"If their law allows transgression into Indian land, there will be contestation... We should not come under any pressure from the psychological games played by China. That is what they want. China is our biggest enemy today, not Pakistan," Rawat had said.
