PM Modi relied on him a lot, he was the country's military advisor to PM. Spoke his mind and earned frenemies because of it. It's a big loss to the country, the reforms initiated by him will certainly face some setback now. I hope our establishment pulls up it's socks and all three chiefs work with our next CDS in unison.

Why not hold leader of armed forces to same moral standards as we have for our Ministers. If not then never ask a minister to resign in future on moral grounds.

Something about Bipin Rawat Sir just hit different, he was made chief same time as I Joined the forum used to watch most of his interview. I used to meme his photos(Some still might be floating around) to burn porkies when I was just a wee lad, I sometimes used to call him mudi bhakt too. It all feels so surreal.

I never met him but seems as if a very respected senior of the family has passed away. Farewell sir You somehow had become part of my life and every moment forward I will try to make u proud.

I think there is a rotation policy. But no one can champion theater commands like Rawat did. Thinking of this as just we can replace a position is wrong, very wrong.
