Huge caches of weapons seized in Kurram, Orakzai

The Pakistan Army led security forces Sunday foiled major terror bids when during the Intelligence Based Operation they recovered huge caches of sophisticated weapons from the troubled Kurram and Orakzai agency as the operation Rad ul Fasaad progresses.
The seized sophisticated arms and ammunition include Rockets, improvised explosive devices, grenades, mortar bombs, different types of weapons, and etc. believed to be used for carrying out subversive acts in various parts of the country. Different types of communication equipment were also recovered during the raids.
According to Inter Services Public Relations the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Markaz established in underground tunnels in Kalaya, Orakzai Agency was destroyed during the operations that were launched on the basis of credible intelligence.
Likewise in a separate intelligence-based operation in Parachinar, Kurram Agency, FC and intelligence agencies recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition including rockets, IEDs, grenade, mines, mortar ammo, explosives different types of weapons, and communication equipment.
Military sources said the large cache of weapons seized “was an indication that a major terrorist attack had been averted.
“Security forces recover huge cache of arms and ammunition and communication equipment from Kalaya Orakzai agency and Parachinar Kurram agency”. The ISPR communiqué said adding the operation was launched on credible intelligence.
“The recovery of such huge cache is indicative of planning for major terrorist attacks that have been averted”. The ISPR release concluded.
The ongoing operation Radd ul Fasaad, it may be recalled, was initiated against the elements challenging the writ of the state and unleashing a series of subversive activities all over the country a couple of months back.
The security forces, since then have been conducting Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) all over the country and made major advances against the terrorists thwarted major terror bids by seizing huge amount of sophisticated weapons and arrested scores of anti-state elements besides mowing down dozens of trouble makers.
