Prof Ishtiaq Ahmed explains in interview to Arvind Saharan and Abbas Haider what made Mr Jinnah give that speech of August 11, 1947 regarding separation of state from religion and how he left the very muslims whom he used as an excuse to carve Pakistan out of India but left them behind because of the economic strains it would have caused to the newly carved state. His book (Jinnah: His Successes, Failures and Role in History ) is also releasing on the same matter.
