The story of a team of African-American women mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the US space program.
this is story about some of the first african american women who worked at nasa during an era of segregation and space race between usa and ussr to be first at ever single achievement
its about the strives these women made for the difficulties they faced not only because of their race but also because of their gender ,
it shows that even with the limited opportunities because of race and gender of these african american women how they became big help during the early days of a space agency at their immense difficult tasks occurring between the swift space race ,
if you think that this movie is solely about space missions , its not , the story revolves around the strives of these african american women , especially mathematician Katherine Johnson ,
although space missions were at the background of the story and yet important part of the story as they are associated with the contributions made by these women ,
actually the book ' hidden figures ' on which this movie is made puts supervisor Dorothy Vaughan as a pivotal character but at the movie mathematician Katherine Johnson is presented as a main character for the purpose of the dramatization ,
author of the book on which this movie is based upon ,
