A. Rama signaled Lakshmana to cut Surupnakha's nose
B. Vishwamitra and the two princes came to Tataka's forest and the sage ordered Rama to kill the demoness to free the area from her terror. Rama was hesitant to kill her as she was a woman and initially maimed her, chopping off her hands so that she could not attack him further. Using her demonic powers, she changed form, disappeared and continued to attack them whilst remaining unseen. Sage Vishwamitra advised Rama, that as a prince, he had to carry out his duty regardless of his own personal reservations about killing a woman. Rama swiftly pierced her heart with his arrows. This act gained the young princes the blessings of not just Vishwamitra but also the blessings of all of the assembled sages in the yagnashala.
C. With one glance Kavyamata put all the Devas into a deep sleep. By her meditative power, Kavyamata (Usanas) petrified Indra, the king of the Devas, putting them in a state of paralysis. Vishnu assessed the situation and surmised that he would have to strike down this woman to protect the world from eons of chaos that would be ushered with the victory of the Asuras. Vishnu summoned his discus weapon — the Sudarshana chakra, and severed Kavyamata's head. Shukra's father, the great sage Bhrigu, became angry and cursed Vishnu for his sin of woman-slaughter, saying that Vishnu would have to take countless avatars on Earth and suffer pain and confinement due to his sin. Vishnu, who himself overseers that boons and curses come to pass, accepted this curse of the grieving sage. Then Bhrigu resurrected Kavyamata (Usanas) by sprinkling holy water from his kamandalu (water-pot). Kavyamata woke as if from a deep sleep

Z. A lengthy war ensues. During a battle, Ravana's son Indrajit hurls a powerful weapon at Lakshmana, who is badly wounded. So Hanuman assumes a gigantic form and flies from Lanka to the Himalayas. Upon reaching Mount Sumeru, Hanuman was unable to identify the herb that could cure Lakshmana and so decided to bring the entire mountain back to Lanka. Eventually, the war ends when Rama kills Ravana. Rama then installs Vibhishana on the throne of Lanka.
Y. On the 14th night (as the kuravas were not ready to stop) of the Mahabharata war, Drona is instigated by Duryodhana's remarks of being a traitor as he was not able to protect Jaidrath. Sensing his end is near, he used the Brahmastra against the common Pandava soldiers. At that moment, all the Sapta Ṛṣis appeared on the sky and requested Drona to retract this ultimate weapon used on ordinary soldiers. Dronacharya obeyed, retracting the weapon.
