This is the time when India should airlift weapons from Tajikistan and deliver them to the Afghan Army - ASAP.

I think it would be a good idea to roughly document the current military inventory of ANA.
We can also look into what they might need, keeping in view the terrain of Durand line.
Action is 45 kms from Peshawar and 30 from Jamrud.
By the way, is it possible that this ANA aggressiveness is stoked by the Americans?
They might want a whole new, different kind of war to rage in the Af-Pak region and see the focus shift away from the US-Taliban sort of confrontations.

Virendra

The Pakistanis have no choice but to back off lest they anger their bosom buddies.

This is a good move..

ANA with the backing of US and NATO must open up entire Durand Lines to convey a massage to Pakistan and China.

You mean from DRDO labs and CVRDE's - Arjun tanks, OFBs 155 mm Guns and LCA...

Let us use those in the battle field...

I'd prefer Arjun to T-90 in the Depsang Plain. Low ground pressure. For Afghanistan, however, you gotta make it primarily a helicopter war.

I agree. DRDO should take Arjun to Depsang plains...

Nevertheless, we can drop a few Tatras there...

Not really. People have been pissed for a while at Karzai for letting pakistani posts within Afghan soil. He finally give the go-ahead for the operation.

1 killed, 3 wounded on Afghan side, Pakistanis says they have 2 wounded, but the Afghans say we killed seven of them. Read into that what you will.

The important thing is that the border post was destroyed.

Bravo !! @Ray Sir .. isn't that something we can learn and implement in Ladakh? A good example right there.
Even the Afghans take their territory more seriously than our sissies in New Delhi.

India should help Afghanistan. But not with crap INSAS.

An Afghan policeman has been killed.Afghanistan should deploy snipers and then take out pakis one by one.Same should be done on our Chinese brothers in Ladakh.
