How many anti tank missiles can LCH carry
I expect the LCH to have quad launchers for helina that would make it 16 missiles instead of 8 , if thats not so then ==srew== DRDO
It has 2 hard points on 2 pylons .
so its a Either 8 HELINA ATM
Or four Unguided mis missile sle pods
Its a weight issue.I expect the LCH to have quad launchers for helina that would make it 16 missiles instead of 8 , if thats not so then ==srew== DRDO
What weight issue , each quadlauncher would have an approx max weight of around 200 kg , 800 kg of payload isn't too much to ask for.Its a weight issue.
I reckon it depends more on the HELINA weight , then the LCH it self
Forges de zeebrugge rocket pods for 68 or 70 mm rockets , a giat chin mounted 20 mm cannon , mistral aam , the ATGM is supposed to be Helina which is still under development , if it is not developed by the time the LCH comes out then either Lahat or spike is my guessWhat weapons would you be able to fit on the LCH?
at low to medium altitudes that weight will not be an issue. however LCH is designed for high altitude operations which means the altitude will dictate the payload carrying capacity. What weight issue , each quadlauncher would have an approx max weight of around 200 kg , 800 kg of payload isn't too much to ask for.
http://ajaishukla.blogspot.com/2009/09/more-on-light-combat-helicopter-lch.htmlPrasun, Seshadri’s statement is quite clear. He indicates that the total payload at 20,000 feet will be some 350-500 kg. The cannon and its turret are not payload. They are a part of the helicopter fitment. Their ammunition, however, is payload. As are the missiles, rockets (the pods are not payload, they are fitment), etc.
what about tibetan plains and the north eastern borders?? won't we face up to the chinese tanks??^^^^^^^^^
I was talking about deserts and plains ,why would we need ATGM's at that altitude , at 20000 feet only flying with the main gun is acceptable and respectable
