Russian origin cargo also avoiding lal Sagar.

Ruskies will have no problem avoiding the Lal Sagar any time, since they can always use the INSTC and the Eastern Maritime Corridor. Both of them are profitable for Russian companies as they reduce time, ensure safety and reduce costs.

European vessels are fucked though.

BTW, Our MARCOs saved a second Iranian-flagged ship with Iranis and Pakis in them from Somali pirates this time.

Looks like the Somalis are taking advantage of the chaos in the Red Sea and seizing the maximum benefits by attacking anything that moves.

Question: What kind of camo are the MARCOs wearing? That looks more like British-style multicam. Since when did the Navy start using Multicam on high seas?

This is a huge success for Korean companies. KM -SAM can shoot down Houthi ballistic missiles. UAE already purchased these in 2022.
How else were the Saudis to choose ? Apparently the Patriots caused more destruction to KSA than the BMs it was supposed to protect them from. Must've been designed & developed by a Paddy .

German Air Warfare Frigate Heading For Red Sea In Anticipation Of EU Operation ASPIDES

What houthi attacks have achieved :
1.Freeze peace talks in Yemen, Europeans will be less inclined to appear to reward houthi reckless behaviour.
2. Increased European naval presence in red sea.
3. Harass shipping lines, affect trade with Europe and Asia.
4. Awaken IN navy from slumber.
5. Degrading attacks on houthi capabilities by us/uk.
6. Rally and shore domestic support against rising domestic anger and unpopularity against their rule.

But the greatest mystery is all these actions where done when they were close enough to a peace deal.

India bound us origin ship Star Nasia attacked, meanwhile Chinese ships are getting cheaper insurance to navigate red sea.
Are we doing anything about this?

The Houthis don't know where each ship is headed as they are firing random missiles at anyone who passes through. Something needs to be done about this. Boarding ships is no longer an efficient method. We need to start doing precision strikes.

Us/uk have modern surveillance and targeting capabilities, we are policing our sea lanes.

Our strategic, cultural ,religious links and presence of many friendly/strategic partners in the region limit our direct role.
But we can engage in chai biscoot session away from the limelight and it's not entirely impossible for us to make them see reason, however it will take time and effort.

CENTCOM successfully conducted five self-defense strikes against three mobile anti-ship cruise missiles, one unmanned underwater vessel (UUV), and one unmanned surface vessel (USV) in Iranian-backed Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen. This is the first observed Houthi employment of a UUV since attacks began in Oct. 23.
