Rajendra was possibly the greatest conqueror in India.
Greatest may be a difficult claim but one of the great, certainly. Many of the great Rashtrakuta kings were great conquerors too, Dhruva Dharavarsha, Indra III and Krishna III among the most notable but Govinda III (son of Dhruva) had probably no equals anywhere. He was dealing with two of the largest kingdoms in North west and North East India of the Gurjara Pratiharas and the Palas. His military supremacy in India was unquestionable to the point that the king of Sri Lanka also sent statues of himself and his minister as an act of submission. His son of course was Amoghavarsha, probably the greatest king of South India, if not all of India. Widely compared to Ashoka, it was his reign that saw the empire at its peak even if there were no military campaigns to speak of.

Nizam Osman Ali Khan of Hyderabad
The most secular of the Nizams

Contributed heavily for renovation of temples(some of the razed by his own predecessors)
including 1 Lakh rupees for the 1000 pillar temple in Karnataka and several monthly grants for the Golden temple in Punjab

Funded Dedicated studies for Mahabharata and Ramayan and the translation of Hindu scriptures

Built universities and distributed Land for landless farmers

Nizam Osman Ali Khan himself is very highly educated unlike several others who sat on the Nizam's throne

The Razakars grew under his nose as an extremist muslim movement, which he could not put down

He wanted Hyderabad to join India during partition

After independence he remained Rajpramukh of Hyderabad and the Titular Nizam

Donated several lakhs and Hectors of lands for well being of commoners

He is also the same guy who used the Jacob's Diamond, a 50 million pound worth diamond, as a Paperweight

People have heard of Nalanda and Taxila universities

A little known such place of knowledge down south is Kancheepuram in present day Tamil Nadu

It is first mentioned in the Works of Sanskrit Grammarian and lexicographer Panini in his treaties of grammar called Ashtādhyāyi, circa 6th century BCE
Most of the foreign visitors of Kanjipuram were The Chinese

The architecture used here is breathtaking:-

An interesting excerpt from Marco Polo's Travelogue for the Tamil Lands
The darkest man is here the most highly esteemed and[65] better than the others who are not so dark. Let me add that in very truth these people portray and depict their gods and their idols black and their devils white as snow. For they say that god and all the saints are black and the devils are all white. That is why they portray them as I have described.[66]
