Almost all the Sanskrit texts written by Kashmiri authors were published by the Jammu and Kashmir state publications. Till 1947, Jammu and Kashmir state was a fount of research in Sanskrit, with research often conducted by scholarly Kashmiri Pandits. Kashmir was one of the apexes of rigorous Sanskrit scholastic study. Kumārāyana, a Kashmiri Aryā spread Buddhist teachings in Kucha (Tarem Basin), married the Kuchan princess & became the Royal Priest. His son Kumārajīva became one of the greatest translators of SANSKRIT in China.

Read this.. especially on the language and names in the document we are familiar with.
one has to wonder, how come french are experts in angkor wat and not us? for them it is ancient language, for us is it is living heritage.

for example :
View attachment 116371

The Khmer Empire was staunch Hindu for most of its time period 802ad -1300 ad, including when the Angkor Vat was built. They only became buddhist in the 14th ad which is also part of our philosophy.

George Coedes, the famous French epigraphist, wrote about the great world heritage monument called Angkor Wat (Nagara Vatika). He titled his work, in French: Histoire ancienne des États hindouisés d'Extrême-Orient, Hanoi, Imprimerie d'Extrême-Orient, 1944, [rééd. sous le titre : Les États hindouisés d'Indochine et d'Indonésie, Paris, De Boccard (Histoire du Monde, vol. 8), 1948. This meant 'HINDU-ised states of Indo-China and Indonesia (now called Southeast Asia)' a clear account of the influence of Hindustan in establishing state institutions in this Indian ocean region. Hindu civilizational ethos are demonstrated by the great monuments of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Samudramanthanam sculptural panel in Bangkok Airport and Garuda Wisnu Kencana in Bali, Indonesia.

Indravarman who laid the foundation of Angkor studied the monistic Vedanta philosophy of the great BHARTIYA Sage Shankaracharya, with a Brahmin learned in that tradition.

[An inscription in an ancient temple known as Bhadreswaram in the forests of Cambodia refers to one Sivasoma who was the teacher of king Indravarman. About the teacher Sivasoma, it says. "By whom were learnt all the Sastras from Bhagavan Sankara whose lotus feet were swarmed by the bees of the bowing heads of all learned men without exception."]

19 India opposition parties issue joint statement against central government mismanagement
Leaders of 19 opposition parties in India participated in an online meeting on Friday to address alleged mismanagement by the central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The virtual meeting, which was broadcast live, was convened by Indian National Congress (INC) President Sonia Gandhi and two top opposition leaders from across the country.

In addition to members of the INC, representatives from 18 opposition parties were present at the meeting. Chief ministers from four states were present, including Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal, MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu, Uddhav Thackeray of Maharashtra, and Hemant Soren of Jharkhand.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi in her opening statement remarked:

Following the meeting, the opposition parties issued a joint statement in which they stated that they would work together to organise protests across the country from September 20 to September 30.

The opposition further condemned the manner in which the central government led by the Bhartiya Janata Party disrupted the monsoon session of the Parliament, refusing to address the allegations related to the Pegasus spyware and the government involvement therein. They collectively blamed the ruling party for massive mismanagement in the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine administration that resulted in several hardships on people.

In light of these reasons, they put forth a list of 11 demands from the Central government of India. This included augmentation of vaccine administration in India; implementation of free cash transfers and distribution of free food kits to the needy; holding of an immediate Supreme Court monitored judicial enquiry into the use of the Pegasus spyware; release of all political prisoners incarcerated under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA); and release of all political prisoners in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Providing details of the above-mentioned protests, the opposition stated:
I will shove this shoe so deep down your throat that even your ancestors will smell of shoe polish.

For Peshwa & Marathi Fanboys.

Some aspects of Peshwa Bajirao which aren't talked about much. This thread is in response to peshwa fanboi.

1. There is one claim that goes around that Peshwa Bajirao captured Delhi after defeating mighty Mughal army at Delhi.
While as always truth is slightly different.

The actual event is Peshwa came to North with his full force. While near Agra Saadat khan the nawab of Awadh went to face him. Bajirao himself didn't came but sent part of his army under Holkar against Saadat Khan. Saadat Khan easily defeated Peshwa army and the defeated
army of peshwa fled
. Remember that Mughal had two more armies under Wazir and Mir Bakshi sent south to engage Peshwa. Unlike people now used to claim if Peshwa met the combined army of Mughals head on, he most probably wouldn't go out of the battle field alive, and that peshwa
himself knew. He didn't face any of the three mughal armies which are still divided, and went towards Delhi. Now Delhi was a fortified city but all the armies of mughals were away hence they couldn't start the offensive. Meanwhile Peshwa army despite chauvinists claims these days
didn't had any siege weapons
. And no matter what he wouldn't be able to get pass the city gates. A few thousand rag tag new recruits were sent which were defeated by peshwa thats all. And as soon as Peshwa heard that the main mughal army is coming back towards delhi, he fled
from delhi. Because he knew what would be the result. This was the all chest thumping capturing delhi claim's truth is. He also looted Kalkaji temple in delhi which was outside the mughal capital hence unprotected, this was done on Ramnavami when there was a big fair there.

Second claim is about defeating Nizam
not once but twice, once at Palkhed and second time at Bhopal. Now I want to ask these Peshwa fanbois tell me how many people died in both these battles from both sides ? Who were in van and who were in charge of wings ? They wont tell this,

Cause both these battles are not actual battles. No actual battles were fought with Nizam, only treaties were signed with Nizam both the times, and as much Nizam liked to focus marauders under peshwa towards tottering mughal empire because every nobles of mughal were fighting amongst themselves and mughal emperors were puppet in their hands. And Nizam wanted to safeguard his own kingdom from the looters. While the same fanboys wont tell you that on one occasion Bajirao himself fought under Nizam, and Nizam even sacked the Peshwa capital, Pune.

Nizam's own son with limited resources signally defeated their beloved Peshwa a year before peshwa died but these things they wont tell you.

Next claim is so funny, i read somewhere that Nadir Shah fled from India when he heard that Bajirao is coming north, lol
. While this claim is of course fake, Bajirao had no capacity to take on Nadir Shah. But this take backs to the truth of the event, when Nadir Shah took the mughal throne he remained here for some days, later with looting mughal delhi he departed for Persia but before he went he again seated the mughal emperor Rangila on the mughal throne and sent letters to everyone under Mughal empire to follow his command.
He sent similar letter to Shahu and Bajirao as well
. In the letter to Bajirao he warned him to follow the mughal emperor as he commands and serve him if not he will sent an army to the south to punish the rebels.

Peshwa when heard about Nadir shah's departure took sigh of relief
and soon as directed Peshwa wrote letter to Mughal emperor promising fealty and sent 100 mohurs as presents to Rangila, the emperor.
Before someone name Chhatrasal Bundela, let me just tell this that Peshwa didn't fully help him, he alongwith whole his army went to south when siege was still on going, chhatrasal had to later sign treaty with Bangash and gave promise of same amount of tribute he used to give.
So no changes in his condition but Peshwa on the other hand took one third of his kingdom without actually helping him, there is a record of a story in which it says how diplomatically Bajirao forces Chhatrasal to give him territory. This territory peshwa demanded was not given
Chhatrasal even till his death
and asked his sons to not give it to the marathas
, why would he give it when Bajirao didnt even help, heck even Bangash would have been appeased by smaller amount. That kahawat of "Jo gati graha gajendra ki" is of course fake , it was never uttered by Chhatrasal, its later poetic construct.
Bajirao did similar tactics at Mewar
and forced Maharana to give up territory without any basis and took couple of lacs from Maharana.

The truth of Bajirao is that he was at the right place at right time, Mughal empire was falling apart and mughal nobles were fighting amongst themselves, to profit that he secured vice subedari of some mughal suba under Mughal emperor's name of course. In bundelkhand the territory of Bundela was given to sons of Bajirao, called Nawab of Banda transferred from Hindu to muslim rulers, the scion of mastani who btw was not related to chhatrasal in any way, all later claims made for reasons.

These are almost all the achievements of Bajirao against Mughals which are talked about if you have more claims do tell me i will happy to tell the truth about it
.

3rd Battle of Panipat happened between Marathas and Nadir shah, not the mayor of Delhi the mughal emperor and Nadirshah.

This proves the point that Mughal empire peaked at the time of Akbar/Aurangazed and is dying a mere 100 years of existence that too accommodating the demands of Rajputs in the Northwest.

Comparing to the empires of India which existed for longer durations and made larger impact in the past. Mughals do not deserve the lime light they are receiving.

jat, Gujjars, Muslims used to pimped their daughters to Rajput haram. Babur daughter was married to a Rajput dharam Chand Chib ( a cadet branch of Katoch of kangra himachal pradesh ) Humayun niece was also married to him. Akbar niece was married to Man singh. I can list you the amount of turk, Afghan , Baloch ,even Arab Muslim women mostly from Noble families who have been married to Rajputs.
Just to give you an e.g Sher-shah-suri whole campaign against Rajputs of Raisen was allegedly to free muslim women ( both Noble & commoners ) from Rajput harem.
If faking history & making tall claims... kunbi Maratha & Marathi Brahmins are next level & i thought sikh were the biggest bull s****s.
No we have a hindu separating facts from fiction, lies, forgery & Propaganda.
Raja Dharamchand Chib urf Baba Shadi Shaheed. You forgot to mention his real name.

He converted though no doubt about it. I am not defending it , i am just stating some facts. I don't simp for any mughals or muslims. My ancestors were fighting them from time they crossed modern day boundaries of Iran. history should be taught the way it is no matter how bad or brutal it has been....not making some tall & fake claims.

The bravery of your ancestors is like sunlight. No matter how much the fake historians try to pull curtains over it, their stories of valour like sunlight will always illuminate and overcome darkness. You don't need to demean others. They have contributed too and in no lesser way.
The Mughals and Sikhs, however, have been over glorified at the cost of Rajputana, Maratha and other Hindu Kingdoms.

"Tanhaji" movie & Martha myth making & targeting of Rajputs.

another instance of deccani lobby in cahoot with their chamcha in north making tall fake claims & again trying to pass myth & fiction as reality. They did it before with movie's like Jodha Akbar, Veer, Panipat the great Betrayal & now Tanhaji. But let's seperate facts from fiction.

Credit : Engineer Who

Udaybhan Rathore and myth making in Maratha history:
An analysis. This is the thread on Udaybhan Rathore, who he was and how over the time period, his life was portrayed in maratha chronicles and pseudo history.

Udaybhan rathore was the head of Bhinai thikana (84 villages) in Ajmer. He was the direct descendant of the famous Rao Chandrasen, Raja of Marwar (4th generation) who resisted Akbar all his life and never made any alliance with mughals like Maharana Pratap.

Later in 1783, Maharaja of Jodhpur gave title of Raja to Bhinai family for their military service. Bhinai family and their direct descendant Raja Sh Mayuraj Singh still lives in Ajmer. Anyway coming to Udaybhan Rathore and story of Tanaji.

Jai Singh's march on Shivaji defeating him and treaty of Purandar (1665) is a well known episode to repeat here. After getting the hill forts from Shivaji under the treaty,

Jai Singh didn't have enough man power to man every one of the small forts because of his next campaign against Bijapur. Jai Singh personally took over a couple of important forts like Kondhana (Sinhgarh), Purandar etc. Others were given to some mughals or their fortification walls destroyed. Jai Singh died in 1667 near Burhanpur while enroute to the north.

The fort of Kondhana was under Udaybhan Rathore placed by Jai Singh not sent specially by Aurangzeb as shown in the movie. In 1670 the fort was captured by marathas after a sanguinary fight in which the maratha army leader Tanaji Malusare and Udaybhan Rathore both died.

The reality was simple, marathas under Tanaji captured the fort from Udaybhan Rathore but as we will see, slowly this story expanded to one of the biggest fiction in maratha history. Start with contemporary evidence, there is not a single contemporary evidence of this.

First mention of this fight is in Sabhasad bakhar written almost 30 years after the battle. The Sinhgadh campaign is given in detail, that there was one Tanaji malusure who commanded the army. Although this battle is described in detail, there was no exaggeration.

about Udaybhan which were made later. Udaybhan was only mentioned as a great warrior who was the commander of the Kondhana fort. And that Tanaji climbed the fort with help of mawle soldiers who were expert in mountain climbing.

Even Chitnis Bakhar which was written about 130 years later doesn't say anything wrong about Udaybhan. The event is also mentioned vividly by British historian Grant Duff's in his 'History of Mahrathas' written in 1826, story is same as Sabhasad bakhar.

Nothing wrong against Udaybhan here too. Later in British period this story is deformed to another level. In 19th century one powada was composed allegedly by one Tulsidas shahir. The powadas are ballads songs sung by wandering performers, there is nothing historical about it.

In this powada Udaybhan is made a monster, some description about Udaybhan is as follows, Udaybhan eats one cow, one goat and more than a maund of rice in ONE MEAL. He has 18 wives and 12 sons (which is also fake as he had only one son and which wasn't in kondhana ).

He remains drunk and doesnt go to fight until all his fake 12 sons get killed. Cherry on the top, it is shown that he also converted to Islam, goes to mosque and when he died he cried "Allah". In the ballad there are many other unbelievable things like how

a ghorpad (monitor lizard) helps Tanaji to climb up the fort which was not true according to Sabhasad Bakhar, and like how ghorpad stopped climbing midway and then Tanaji asked her to climb but when she doesnt, Tanaji threatens her.

that he will cook her and will eat her if she doesnt climb. Then the ghorpad again starts climbing. HG Rawlinson who wrote 'shivaji the maratha' added an english translation of the powada, he himself say that there is no contemporary evidence of this story.

There are many other geographical mistakes too like how Rajgarh is confused with Raigarh by the composer. Although the story has little historic value, the story being interesting was copied by some colonial and pune writers.

Later comes a man named Hari Narayan Apte, a historical novel writer who is hailed as Walter Scott of Marathi literature
. He wrote in 1903 a novel named Gad aala pan sinh gela. He btw also wrote a novel named "Tiger of Mysore" on Tipu Sultan. He went a step further.

from Powadas and added in this an extra story of Kamal Kumari. And also made Udaybhan rathore an illegitimate son of Mewar Rana from a slave girl. And how did illegitimate son of a sisodia rajput adopted Rathore surname is a mystery that Apte didn't think over.

Anyway in his story Udaybhan kidnapped Kamal Kumari, a Rajput widow against her wishes, she wanted to become Sati. Udaybhan is shown in much disgust in this book. Finally a man of honour Tanaji frees Kamal Kumari from Udaybhan's clutches so she can commit sati.

This book of Apte gained quite popularity and became anchor point for further writings on Udaybhan and Tanaji. Many works on this were composed later, to name a few Acharya Chatursen a hindi novel writer's book "Sayadri ki Chattane" follows the same story of Udaybhan.

There were marathi films made on this story before independence. And finally a hindi film Tanhaji in 2020 by a Marathi film maker Om Raut. This film is on another level, it takes all the story from these fictions but remove all those impossibles.

like eating cows and all to make story believable and also specifically mentions that Udaybhan is Rajput which was removed by censor board. He shows Aurangzeb as a simple guy weaving caps but made Udaybhan a vilest guy you could imagine,

there was also a scene of Udaybhan killing his own mother because she was "neecha khoon", all this was removed by censor board not by film maker but by censor board. This is how character of Udaybhan was ridiculed beyond any imagination by slow process of fictional myth making.

The truth is much simpler, that Udaybhan was a mere soldier and was appointed by Jai Singh and was doing his duty. For siding with mughals, even Shivaji attacked many forts while serving under mughals. Shivaji's son Shambhaji also served under mughals. Shivaji's father.

Shahji also served under Mughals, Bijapur and Ahmadnagar Sultans as it suited him.

But looks like Udaybhan got in the wrong side of Maratha myth-making. Finally I expect atleast descendants of Udaybhan in Bhinai and Badanwara would raise some awareness on this.

For people about dialogues in the movie, read the 1st change in the list of changes made by censor board. This is at 1hr 26 min in the movie where Kamal's brother tell the story of Kamal and Udaybhan's past to captured Tanaji.

The Mughals and Sikhs, however, have been over glorified at the cost of Rajputana, Maratha and other Hindu Kingdoms.
Sikhs deserve the lime light, because they tied Mughals on one extreme while the Marathas are expanding in the South.

If you read the Sikh empire history they rose from nothing to forming an empire in one of the unstable regions of India.

Depends on how you define "limelight". Over glorified tropes of "Assi Hindua nu bachaya si" have to be discarded immediately for the fake distortions they are.

Without Rajput and Hindu kings teaching Sikhs shastra vidya, they would never have become a fighting race in the first place, and throughout their history they received help against the Mughals by Hindu kings and warriors and vice-versa.

In fact, towards the end, during Guru Gobind's reign, he actually helped Aurangzeb a couple of times and attacked and killed Hindus. Guru Hargobind used to smash Hindu idols by entering temple premises.

Yes, they also deserve a mention and acknowledgment for waging their fights and warring against the Mughals, even though most of the time it was for their personal business, not because they wanted to protect people from Islamic oppression. But that's where it should stop. This heralding Sikhs as the mighty warriors who single-handedly saved coward Hindus from Muslims is bullshit and should be treated as such.

Non sense, Most of the Sikh soldiers are from Hindu families.

Sikhs actually protected Hindus in the present day Pakistan against Islamic barbarians. I do not see any issue when Sikhs say they protected Hindus.

Mughal and the so called Islamic Barbarism needs to be put in place in Indian history.
