Freudenberg Gala Household Product Pvt Ltd, a leading supplier of mechanical cleaning products inaugurated its manufacturing facility at Adas near Anand on Wednesday.
The company has pumped in Rs 20 crore towards setting up the plant.
"The new plant will be an important milestone to further build FHP's presence in India and abroad. A further expansion and the build-up of an R&D function are already in the planning phase," said Klaus-Peter Meier, CEO of Freudenberg Household Products (FHP).
The facility would manufacture mechanical household cleaning products. The plant is spread over 30,000 square meters, with a production area of 5,500 square meters and 2,500 square meters of storage space.
The company plans to further expand the plant over the next four years. The company produces and markets home cleaning products under the brand name of Gala. Established in August 2009, Freudenberg Gala Household Product Pvt Ltd is a joint venture between Freudenberg Household Products, Germany and Gala Brush Limited, India. Freudenberg holds 60 per cent stake in the joint venture. The Freudenberg group is present in 59 countries with sales reported at more than Rs 33,109 crores in 2010.
