If Tamils need a homeland they can well carve it out from Tamilnadu. Even SL will support it.
A rather provocative statement.

The Sri Lankan Tamils are Sri Lankans.

Why should they carve a state for themselves in Tamilnadu. They have laboured on the land of Sri Lanka and their sweat that has made Sri Lanka prosperous is ingrained in that land,

It maybe your sentiment, but your Govt does not subscribe to it since they know what the consequences will be. And the consequence will not be pleasant.

Some say Aryan theory was born in Sri Lankan soil but with less certain facts. Some say Sinhalese are a mix of Yaksa, Naga, Raksha and Deva tribes + Veddas and some say thats all of this started from the North Indian arrivals.

You cope in all Theory but left the most accepted fact of Vijaya what can i say :(

Any how thats not the issue.

Tamil's in Srilanka must be given all rights that others enjoy and the government must build house and infra in North to rebuild the scorching lands of north due to war

[h=1]La Poste apologizes for LTTE stamps[/h]La Poste apologizes for LTTE stamps | The Sunday Leader

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Paris says it has been in communication with La Poste which is the issuing authority for official stamps, with regard to the matter of stamps bearing the symbols of the LTTE which has been issued in France.
The Embassy says it has received a communication from La Poste which that one of their services includes the possibility for the public to create customized or personalized stamps with the option of choosing and uploading freely the image they expect to see. This facility is administered by 3 designated agents who receive over 2000 requests per week. These agents are required to put in place the necessary means for the verification of the images sent to their service by the clients/customers.

La Poste accepts that a collection of "stamps with inappropriate visuals" associated with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, an association classified by the EEC as a terrorist group, had been printed "by mistake".

La Poste has apologized for this error on behalf of Phil@poste, the entity engaged in the overall administration of the online service.

It further "confirms that these personalized stamps are not in any way a part of the official French philatelic programme" and gives its assurance that no other stamp will be undertaken by their services "with these visuals and for this association".

The Embassy of Sri Lanka has initiated a process of further representations to the relevant authorities at the highest level about these stamps, which prima facie violate the terms and conditions that have to be met in order to be produced, one of which is that no weapon of any sort should be reproduced. The Embassy also intends to make the case that the systems and controls in place to prevent further occurrences of this sort should be adequate and be sufficiently monitored.

Well, so that was a 'mistake'.

In Hindi, there is a saying

Ab pachatae hoot kya jab chidiya chug gayi khet.
English : Why repent now, when the bird has already eaten the crop.
Meaning : There's no use of repentance after time of action passes.

As a legitimate government Sri Lankan government has to make an objection about the stamp issue..... otherwise LTTE supporters may think that SLG is impotent in world political arena.

Mistakes happen, should not be taken seriously. However, a very strong official complaint should be registered by Sri Lanka.

OTOH, terrorists on a stamp paper is just ridiculous. Where the hell is V&V?

This is not to bring back the so-called 'LTTE nutcases' from death. Now, our band of brothers chose political ways to handle these brutal killers.

Panic already in the high commission of SL and in SL Govt, maybe the poor civilians (sinhala) still dreaming about their so-called 'victory over LTTE, militarily crushed LTTE, end on LTTE' and so on. we waited more than 30 yrs and ready to wait for a decade or so to get our rights and own 'Ezham home land'.
