Than its ok, I thought that IDSA lured the Admiral to say those words, you see, sabotage from our side. :)

But atleast we now know the German Military and probably Government's view on this whole Russo-Ukraine fiasco. Germany didn't allowed NATO aircrafts to used it's airspace and also vetoed weapon sales to Ukraine.

And again this may be Admiral's own personal view because he invoked religion in support of Russia, as being both Christian dominated nations.

But he made matters complicated vis a vis China, and again we also came to know how Germany views China. CCP will not be happy.

I don't think Germans see PRC as a threat.
From Germain point of view having good relations with PRC is way more important that Russia as Germany tends to export a lot to PRC. Their volume of trade is massive and not to discount the fact that most of Germain companies have some sort of manufacturing or allied activity either based in or dependent on PRC or both.

I thank the are trying to play safe and have economic relations with all.
Trade is a very flimsy ground to evaluate country realtions. We can say the same thing about US-China relations , companies like Tesla are doing great business in China.

But from a strategic point of view, it feels like the German top generals feel threatened. As the PRC is starting to have a bigger control over many small nations.

It's like economic colonization. USA literally pays billians of dollars for it's over seas assets. But the Chinese on the other hand are being handed over these assets as payment for their investment. Like Hambantota or Gwadar in future. The Chinese are genius :creepy:

Usual low self esteem will or has already kicked in to deny any real analysis of Vice Admiral Kay-Achim’s comments.

It has been discussed here at DFI for a while now how Germany under Ms A Merkel has been going through a lot of internal churning and polarisation both as society and functional democracy.

The German desire to project itself as a serious power that operates independently is not hiden any more and Vice Admiral’s frank opinion reflects it very well. With UK leading the way and its exit from EU tells how the whole region is going through similar discourse and exploring similar possibilities of shedding away old dependencies.

In Germany’s case and being a quasi frontier state which will be the fall back line during any confrontation with Russia there is a genuine concern to not allow American eccentricities decide any serious decision making on the ground but decision made locally and a balancing act that also consider Russian point of view in any equation.

another point to note is how seamlessly he integrated religion into foreign and military policy, by referring to catholics, protestants and atheists in his speech. this probably happened because he is told by his history books that India got divided into Hindu India and muslim pakistan which is only partially true, fact is India was divided on the basis of muslim Pakistan and Non-muslim India from a paki point of view, he must have assumed we think in the same binary lines as they do, which is not the case. and let's not forget the notion being propagated of "Hindu-Nationalist" govt by western press about India.

this points out to an earlier assertion of ours that religion is highly integrated into their foreign and military policy of the west, they may not talk about it openly in top echelons, but the underlying fundamental exists and just that our MSM does not tell us about this aspect.

recent example of rafale induction in greece and US army having chaplain corps, campared to bhawal on rajnath singh writing OM on new rafales in france.

need not be ashamed of these things either, it’s our culture our choice. When western armies have a chaplain (paid by the state) attached to each army unit, we can also do our own thing.

I come from a school of thought of acceptable misconception.

India divided on religious lines is an honest assertion. The secular non-Hindu construct was an after thought, an adulteration by @#$%* spivs, of a refined out come which took millions of lives as its cost.

I will neither correct nor dispute if the world at large think in binaries on this instance.

For telling the truth

There is a big disconnect between the general population, the armed forces and the Global Liberal Elites-controlled so-called democratic governments of the traditional West. They want to retain their narrative since the Cold War era. China is seen more as a Mercantile partner, rather than an adversary by these lot.

That's it, EU is split. So NATO will.
Hard to say as of now- everyone has pulled the strings- Russia, Germany, China- but the US hasn't. Russia has gas, Germany export to China, Germany's pull in the EU have been factored in- but the US has not played any card directly yet. If money is what the Germans are after, then the US has a bigger fist than China. Gas supplies can be rerouted- albeit at higher prices. If the ballon goes up- then it'll be Germany's insistence to not poke Russia that'll be the deciding factor, and not the Germans' wish to insulate their economy from these games.

Germany and France will have their own grouping of EU in near future. This is what Iam estimating.

The US wants to control the EU by forcing it away from Russia which is the purpose of the Ukraine crisis which the US has instigated and also wants to break China away from Russian natural resources.

So we have entered the game :shoot:
MEA is like a 3rd party movie website trying to open in the Internet Explorer; You tell them to do something 2 decades ago, and they start now.

We should be playing this geopolitical basketball with Erdogan & Co. What's the point of flogging a dead adversary? No one listens to Pakistan anyway except China.

When Joe Biden & Kamala Harris were campaigning for the US elections they made many incriminating statements against India on Kashmir.( not considering they completely flipped after elections )

If no one listens to Pakistan we wouldn't be having issues with Turkey, Malaysia & Western liberals on Kashmir. We could use our embbassie to do the same thing with Balochistan.
