They are shit. We should be in western countries league.

Not western countries though, India is more comparable to newly industrialised upper middle income countries economically. National power is a result of size and doesn't completely depends upon economic prosperity.
Most small countries in west/Africa/Asia/Latin America are technologically lagging and militarily weak regardless of their status.
But yep, Pakistan is actually similar to West Africa than India and Bangladesh to Bihar.

Bangladesh actually has the feel of Canada if India was the USA. A boring country that has no real superiority in capability and capacity in comparison to America but people somehow gives it a hallowed status due to its goody boy rep(easy to be when you are a boring unambitious and non-risk taking country). However the Bangladesh expression of this behaviour is quite recent while Canada's attitude has been like this for decades. They are like liberals who have an unexplained sense of superiority.

I am sorry but I don't think we can characterize it as "Bangladesh has dumped". India has actively and passively allowed the illegal migration of millions of unskilled Bangladeshis because many Indian politicians saw them as their future vote bank. Once the illegals are inside your border, it is almost impossible to kick them out. The BJP government is realizing it the hard way. It is the same at the US and Mexican border. What a mess Biden has created!

They don't claim that though. Maldives and Sri Lanka had highest GDP per capita by far. And yep, their statistics office managed to display higher GDP per capita than India for 2 years (slipped back this year back after currency depreciation though).
