1) sharing border with Afghanistan will be disastrous.
2) Gilgit does not have that kind of terrain which will allow all weather road capable of carrying loads of cargo everyday, so many accidents will happen.
3) Just imagine importing uranium and rare earth materials from central Asia via Afghanistan, how exactly it's going to end?
But capturing pok will still be worth it as it will deny china access to indian ocean , but it won't help our economy or trade in any ways

These are not my views , so far India has done anything to please china. and may never ? Why didn't India put boots on the ground when USA was in Afghanistan? sometime you have to act not give statements after the fact.

China would never consider access to Indian Ocean via India, as an "alternative" to access via Pakistan or Burma.. even if India offers it.. China needs a puppet on whom it has enough influence, that, it would never close this route to China..

1) we can throw some money and keep Talibunnys quiet and they will provide safe passage. We have spent a lot of deplomatic and financial effort in Afg ,time to reap the goodwill .
2) nothing a 5-10B$ tunnel can't do.
3) what will Talibunnys do with raw minerals. It's useless for them.
