Hmare jaise nahi hai unke yaha nestle ka packaged water aata hai.Sometimes the policies of other countries will have a detrimental effects on another country. This is one such policy. Rice is a water intensive crop. If you are producing rice for your own domestic consumption then that is fine. However, if you are exporting it then you are not exporting just rice but also water. If your country has surplus water with frequent rains every year then this would be a boon for exporters. Otherwise it will be a disaster. Pakistan is a water deficit country. Imagine if more countries want to import rice produced in Pakistan at zero tariffs. More farmers will jump on the bandwagon and will plant rice over any other crop. This will make water crisis worse and increase import of other crops.
With the rate at which their military is capturing arable land for housing projects and with an ever increasing population their entire country is on the brink of food shortages in future.

If floods occur frequently then days of food shortage is very near. They had floods in 2010 and now in 2022. I expect this to happen more frequently with changing climate. This fuckers only wake up only when Punjab is hit with a big disaster.
