If anyone is looking for a reliable 4 wheeler EV at a premium budget, BYD is the best available in India. Only problem is they have only 2 models on sale.

EVs are unreliable, and are more prone to accidents.

Electric cars like Nexon EV are far more reliable & low maintenance than their ICE counterparts . Much lower running cost too ..

If you are willing to spend enough money, you can buy BYD Han EV, the pre-sale price in Europe is 72,000€

What are the cars available in China for 20,000$. Before 2023.

Would be better if you could get list price as pre-2023 state sponsored subsidy. Because I don't think those subsidies will apply for export.

Keep an eye out for this car when it's launched. It's a Gen 2 architecture EV from tata which means flat floor , high capacity LFP battery pack , more range ( real world >400+ kms ) & advanced features like ADAS etc . It'll compete with Creta/Seltos Taigun/Kushaq & EV version might have on road price between nexon EV max & Harrier.

Nah. It will be fine. I was confused between LFP and NMC.

Chinese 2wheeler EV in India that caught fire had NMC . It's the NMC that's more prone to fire.
LFP is relatively safer.

You're right. I myself is scared of EV scooters , even though I drive my Nexon EV everyday. LFP is inherently safer & BYD blade batteries are the best

Most of the fire incident were occurred due to tampering with the battery.
Just a suggestion of the battery is even slightly damaged get it replaced don't use it

Most ev cars will launch after 2023 end or at beginning of 2024 in India
Right now we have few options but after 1-2 years you will see many Indian ev options

What are the normal everyday real life driving ranges of all these Chinese EVs? How fast do they accelerate? What's the pickup like at highway speed,i.e., giving enough juice to quickly overtake a car at a moment's notice?

It's a pity that there is no BYD Song plus, which is the best selling car in China.
Or Wuling Hongguang mini, very cheap, about 5000-7000$, you can use it as a cheap electric bicycle

Wuling Air EV will be coming as MG Comet in the near future.
