HYDERABAD: In a major blow to India's premier security agencies, nine persons -- eight from Tamil Nadu and one from Telangana -- are believed to have joined the Islamic State in 2016. The National Investigation Agency booked a fresh case to probe the matter on January 26, 2017.

The NIA learnt about the module of nine that was based in Chennai from central security agency inputs. The central agencies had interrogated three persons deported from Abu Dhabi for recruiting Indian youngsters for ISIS.

According to the NIA's FIR registered this Republic Day in Delhi and then Chennai, in January 2016, the agency took custody of Sheikh Azhar Al Islam Abdul Sattar Sheikh, Mohammed Farhan Mohammed Rafiq Shaikh and Adnan Hussain Mohammed Hussain, who were working in Abu Dhabi on behalf of ISIS "to identify, motivate, radicalise, recruit and train Indian citizens located both in India and other countries for planning and executing terrorist attacks in India and in other friendly countries".

The agency's probe had recently revealed that the Chennai-based module of nine persons, including one from Telangana and eight from Tamil Nadu, all reportedly under the age of 30 had managed to join IS in Syria.

“It has been revealed that a group of nine persons - eight hailing from Tamil Nadu and one from Telangana -- and some other unknown persons, with the intention to further the activities of Daesh/ISIS, hatched a criminal conspiracy in Chennai and other parts of the country by forming a terrorist gang which raised and received funds, organized training camps, recruited and trained some persons, and facilitated their travel to Syria, to join ISIS,” said the NIA.

The NIA has registered a fresh case (Suo moto) following the directions of Ministry of Home Affairs under sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC, sections 17 (Punishment for raising funds for terrorist acts), 18 (punishment for conspiracy), 18 B (punishment for recruiting for terrorist act), 20 (for being member of terrorist gang), 38 (for associating with the terrorist gang), 39 (supporting terrorist organisation) and 40 (raising funds) of the UA (P) Act (Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967).

Yesterday you are saying something, right?

You can hope for best. But prepare for worst.
Zakir Naik brainwashed Indian Muslims. His main targets are urban muslims who has more privileges than any pious hindu.

As usual, Indian Intelligence agencies woke up at last moment. And banned him.

NIA has itself to blame if Indian Muslims are joining ISIS. They gave free pass to Zakir Naik. And see what is happening now.

HYDERABAD: Popo, Jarasim, Afgn, AQ, Arman, Armansani, Zarrar and many other words might sound meaningless and weird. For Islamic State (IS) kingpins, controlling Indian operations and their operatives working here, it means a lot as they are the code words used in internal communication during their `Jihadi Mission'.

In the IS circles, `Popo' means police, while `Jarasim' refers to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A tiny dictionary of code words and their meaning was scripted and circulated by fugitive, Yusuf Al Hindi, who is based in Syria and supervising recruitment of Indian youth for the outfit.

Yusuf, alias Shafi Armar, had used the code language during his communication with the arrested IS activists from Hyderabad and their associates from other parts of the country . He had used the same code during his interaction with the latest busted module a couple of months ago in Hyderabad and the one unearthed in January .
The dreaded Taliban is often referred as `T', the Al Qaida is simply 'Afgn` AQ', while ` is the short from for Afghanistan. Similarly, the operatives also had pseudo names and they were strictly instructed by Yusuf to follow this jargon to "deceive the security agencies''. For their communication, including sending of inspirational videos and photos, Yusuf has been using http:www.justpaste.in, a popular site among the IS activists and the portal shot to fame became of the usage by terrorists for the spread of their infamous activities and agenda.

http://www.financialexpress.com/ind...n-techies-150-names-from-maharashtra/543924/#.

In a recent development, The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has acquired a ‘kill list’ prepared by the recruiting operators of the Islamic State that targets tech professionals including ethical hackers, software managers, computer geeks and others. The list contains potential names of people who are said to have helped security agencies track ISIS members and potential recruits. The obtained list contain names of such professionals across the world out of which 150 are from Maharashtra and 70 particularly from Mumbai.

The security agencies of the country are said to be analysing the list and have started contacting some of the names, it is touted to be a ‘red herring’ planned by the terror outfit to mislead the investigating agencies from the real target.
Last year, Maharashtra ATS busted a Parbhani-based alleged IS module and arrested four people related in such activities from Parbhani and Hingoli. These were, Mohd Raisuddin Siddique, Iqbal Kabir Ahmed, Nasir Chaus and Shaheed Khan.

As per security agencies, the module was planning to attack the Aurangabad ATS unit. Police had also claimed that the group was planning to target former Superintendent of Police (SP) Navinchandra Reddy, who was involved in an operation against a Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) operative back in 2012.
