Dutch's donkeys for AFPAK war!!!

Dutch soldiers brought 6 donkeys for supplies from afghan farmers, which can carry fifty kg's of load in harsh terrains and in forward areas.

But can someone with knowledge about the Afghan Terrain tell me why the Donkeys? I mean, is it necessary, or are they gonna be shields in firefights with the taliban?

There is a reason why the dutch pay tax, it so that their troops can then use all the modern convinces like helicopters and Motorized transport.

Clearly some one made a horrible mistake

May this be a lesson to all To DRDO critics.
they never turned around and presented the Indian army with Donkey's , for their troops operating in mountain areas and rough terrain.

It may take them 20 years and budget overruns, but they come out with a product.
