it would be interesting to see fauj-jeets defending Adani-Elbit JV "manufactured" ATHOS while in same breath hating on Kalyani and such for having some phoren things within their artillery ; 'specially when this path is being laid down to cuck ATAGS, MGS and all other desi options

So basically 307 atags will be procured which is final
But the rfi on Dec where specifically <15 tons was mentioned was not for asking govt to buy 20 ton towing trucks or other jumlas which was propagated by few articles and alpha defense for their own copium but they actually meant it
That is 400 guns which will be <15 tons will be procured for which those baseless excuses requirements were discussed as reported by manu
Now at the same time elbit has entered in pact with adani to make guns which adani will rename like in case of firearms and offer to forces
Need not speak about it's relation with GoI
As those imaginary requirements provided by army will be taken up by drdo(maybe not) and in order to finish it it will either cross weight or cost or timeline or etc which will give army the excuse to buy light weight advanced Athos in huge nos citing capability gap
This happening in next 5-6 years

Some of you here were jumping though on 307 orders, that order you better hope BJP is present in future, otherwise that too will be torpedoed.

The real masterstroke will happen when import army(IA) will say that they don't need Dhanush gun which is perfectly below 15 tons.

A gun that has passed it's trials, we still to this day don't know what trials they were for.

This missile be it Agni 5 mk2 or Agni 6 has a different payload compared to Agni-5.

Agni 4 also has a mk2 variant .

That smallish missile isn't K4 or A6. Its Agni 1 Prime with a MIRV payload. That's why it has a blunt roundish nose.

IMO you are correct regarding A1P ,IMO that's the nose cone shape sort of typical of MIRV payloads , opening of same using bladder mechanism or small retro rockets , in the case of A1P the latter seems to be more probable in my opinion. lets see

India is taking unique measures to protect itself from the attacks from its surrounding countries. There will be repercussions for China and Pakistan in the future if they conduct missile attacks against India. A homegrown successor to the S-400 created in Russia is currently in the works in the country. Long Range Surface to Air Missile (also known as LRSAM) is the term given to this weapon, and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is responsible for outlining its design.

The nation is currently armed with S-400 missile defence systems, acquired from Russia and widely regarded as the world’s most cutting-edge missile defence system. Pathankot, which is close to the Pakistani border, and Siliguri, which is close to the Chinese border, both have S-400 installations. Any missile, fighter jet, or attack helicopter launched from Pakistan or China and travelling across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) or the Line of Control (LOC) can be stopped by the S-400.

The DRDO is working on a new indigenous ‘Long Range Surface To Air Missile’ defence system that will be quicker, more accurate, and more cutting edge than the S-400. The DRDO is working on an indigenous air defence system to hit long-range targets. One of the capabilities of the LRSAM is the capacity to engage and destroy adversary fighter aircraft, ballistic missiles, and attack drones while in the air. The LRSAM will be a three-tiered system with missiles reaching targets at varying ranges, from the surface to the air. These missiles are designed to destroy enemy aircraft flying at various heights and distances throughout the sky. The indigenous LRSAM is anticipated to have a range equivalent to that of the S-400, which can travel up to 400 kilometres. It will have the power to intercept enemy missiles in the sky, just like the S-400.
