And what if that Fleet Support Ship is big? Let's get bit more precise; the biggest?

At a displacement of 45,000 tonnes, HSL-FSS is almost of same loaded displacement as INS Vikrant.

As of now we have made one INS Vikrant but we plan to acquire 5 FSS; so just imagine the scale of work needed.

And as far as technology is considered then our current Aditya has a replenishment rate of 600 TPH and that for FSS is 2,400 TPH.
What does scale have to do with it? They will all be made in india so if it’s a foreign design or local design the capacity will have to be created by HSL regardless.

this then comes down to design capabilities considering NDB/CSL/HSL have designed 40k ton aircraft carriers and SSBN (with foreign consultants of course) why is FSS something out of reach? It’s such a lame and unambitious mindset

This looks like those African villager makes helicopter videos on youtube. The finishing looks like it was hand made. Are you sure this is real
The hurdle will be approvals- India hasn’t really done a clean sheet civilian jet certification plus a completely unknown entity trying to get FAA/EASA/CAA airworthiness certification will be a hugely complex uphill process but the best of luck to them.

this is the only way aerospace will ever grow in india- the govt provides the necessary regulatory framework and support (basically staying the fk out of the Way) and the private sector taking on the risk, managing their own timelines and Human Resources.

projects like this are infinitely more likely to be successful than Saras or RTA, socialist top down run by committee projects are hilariously inept efforts had there just to keep a few gainfully employed

Is it Turkish design or Turkish manufacture? If design only, I doubt it will matter. Italy is very anti India on international forums, but we have them design our ships anyway, even Vikrant I think they had a hand in design (where they fucked up something on the internal aircraft bay I think, leading to slower turnaround time than US carriers.)
Only design consultation, iirc.

The first two Regiments of Akash Missile system for Army had order for total 2000 missiles at cost of Rs 4 crore each

My guess in present contract is that 400-600 missiles have been ordered at cost of Rs 10-12 cr each, though their number might be increased later. Rest of budget will be for ancillary items

My feeling is that Range of Akash prime missile is 50-70km (and not off quoted 25-30km)

No
Akash prime range is not 50-70 km
It has aesa seeker , increased it's lethality..

Traditional solid rocket missile's range can be increased (sometimes even doubled) using a dual-pulse motor in place of single. Like IAI increase Barak-8's range form 35km to 70km by simply replacing the motor.

But here's the thing, this can't be done with ramjet powered missiles like Akash. They're already at the maximum point of optimization. So 30km is max operational range.

my guess on the range of Akash prime missile being 50 to 70 km is based on the fact that ramjet missiles have very long aerodynamic range. Limitation is primarily the ground-based radar. When this limitation is removed and an active seeker is incorporated in the nose of the missile, then its effective range can increase exponentially. As such the range of the missile was always there but such range could not be used. Therefore I am going with the idea that Akash prime missile can have a range of 50-70 km. Otherwise why not use QR Sam missile which is one third, the weight of Akash prime missile while having range of 30 km versus 24 km of Akash Prime. I believe that Akash Prime, Akash NG missile and Barack MR Sam all have range within similar parameters though Akash NG and barak MRSAM is much lighter than Akash prime
