For a 7 inch hot launch missile, this cannister size is OK.

For existing AC & DDG, it would be in 64 and 32 cell configuartion.
Let's hope for the best or vlsrsam might just be defensive Sam system for smaller corvette ships. I am particularly excited about our own mk41 vls or sylver vls kinda system. Won't vlsrsam have problem integrating with Israeli Mf-star radar. What will be the radar for its ground variant? Range of 15 km seems to be misreported I guess coz range similiar derived missile of vl mica ng has 40km range, surely Astra derived vlsrsam should be able to achieve atleast that much otherwise range is seriously underwhelming.

VL-SRSAM being an indigenous product with all source code developed inhouse would not have any problem with integration with MF-STAR.

No one is going to divulge the exact range of missile in public for sure.

Lockheed nod for F-16 wings in India

US aerospace company Lockheed Martin today approved the manufacturing of wings of F-16 fighter jets at the Tata-Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited (TLMAL) facility here. The joint venture with Tatas will cater to the global market.

JV with tata
  • Hyderabad-based Tata-Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited (TLMAL) facility has been certified to makeF-16 fighter jet wings
  • Annually, the facility can make 50 pairs of wings, which can carry fuel, perform and fly at ‘9G’ and have 12,000-hour lifespan
The TLMAL facility is spread over 21,000 sq m.

The US firm today formally recognised TLMAL as a potential co-producer of F-16 wings. The facility has the capacity to make 50 pairs of wings a year, Lockheed Martin officials said. A ceremonial event marking the first fighter wing prototype built at the TLMAL facility here was attended by KT Rama Rao, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Telangana.

Aimee Burnett, vice-president (strategy and business development), Lockheed Martin Integrated Fighter Group, termed the wing-making as a “technologically complex aerostructure”.

From the article

The launch is a major milestone in the BrahMos development. It clears the system for the serial production of air-version BrahMos missiles within the country. Major airframe assemblies which form the integral part of the Ramjet Engine are indigenously developed by Indian Industry. These include metallic and non-metallic air frame sections comprising Ramjet fuel tank and pneumatic fuel supply system. During the test, the structural integrity and functional performance have been proven. The air version of BrahMos was last flight tested in July 2021.

So not only this starts serial production of bramhos air but also lot's of ramjet parts are now indiginesed . Paves way for totally indigenous ramjet propulsion for upcoming missiles.
