This is the communication range.
For those countries without satellite communication support, that is maximum distance the plane can fly away from the ground control station.

No, the endurance hours of Bayraktar is 27 hours while Rutom-1 is only 12-14 hours (someone says 10 hours).
Turkey’s Bayraktar TB2 Strikes Target at Longest Range Yet (defenseworld.net)
Rustom Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) - Airforce Technology (airforce-technology.com)
Rustom-I UAV (globalsecurity.org)
Range of Rustom 1 = 200 km
Range of Byraktar TB2 = 150 km

Flight altitude of Rustom 1 = 20,000 ft
Flight altitude of Byraktar TB2 = 26,000 ft (?)

Payload capacity of Rustom 1 = 100 kg
Payload capacity of Byraktar TB2 = 150 kg

Number of test flight trial by Rustom 1 = 65
Number of test flight trial by Byraktar TB2 = ??

The only saving grace of Byraktar is its Rotax-912 engine which is atleast two generation ahead of Lycoming-320. But even with a twice as heavy and old engine, we have achieved the as much comparability as Byraktar.
What about what @no smoking wrote

AFASK both the mentioned drones don't have satellite communication.
Don't fall for any Chinese nincompoop logic here. The person was giving the logic that Byraktar crashes occurred in real war scenario and asking me how many R-1 crashed in such a scene. All this while leaving aside the fact that R-1 completed 65 tests flights.

Interesting fact here. Turkish Byraktar drones are getting shot at by SA-18 which has the maximum flight altitude of 11500 feet. It just bring the fact out that either the surveillance payload it was carrying is not upto the level, or it can't sustain the flight altitude of 27000 feet as advertised.

But hey, Turkey is drone super power.

IA wants a howitzer in 14 T category. ATAGS is of 18T category. Although it has been said that the weight could be brought down to 16 T. So lets see.

Transferring technology to any private player is not going to solve issue at the drop of a hat for Dhanush. Dhanush is more of a stop gap solution and it would not be ordered in numbers. So no private party would accept its order on face value alone. The cost in such a scenario would escalate many fold. So going to OFB is a logical action in case of Dhanush.
Why can't IA tone down its requirements to support pvt domestic industry and induct ATAGS ? It is this attitude which is costing us dear ! Induct 16T ATAGS and meanwhile *WORK WITH KALYANI* to reduce it to 14T for future editions . But no, our Top Brass babus want the perfect shit straight away !

That is why both have such a low range (Bayraktar - 150km and Rustom- 200km). That is not flying range but battle range.
The flying range of drones are measure with endurance hours:
Bayraktar - 27 hours
Rustom - 12-14 hours.
