That don't matter anymore tbh , it's made to counter f 16 of their , but yeah it would fry f 16 model they have , if it would be block V we would have tough competition but theirs will be not too hard to get ,no aesa ,no proper bvr , sfdr fired at 70 km will eat them up .
For their F-16 even MK1A is more then enough with AESA radar and Astra Mk-2 missile both will have longer range compared to any system available to Porkies. Also don't forget lower RCS of Tejas compared to F-16.

Shouldn’t GaN based AESA radar have more T/R Modules? I don’t think this 992 T/R Module AESA radar will use GaN. LCA Mk2 was never supposed to have GaN based AESA Radar.
GaN tech is almost ready. By 2025 we should have a fully developed GaN based radar ready for Fighter aircrafts. Tejas MK-2 will only enter production after that.

BTW now it's not LCA but MWF :p

F 16 and tejas may see each other in loint defence role ,but mk2 will see in a saturated environment with other fighter too , so it's better manuverability , high thrust , more missile carrying will show real benefits

For SWiFT,it has already taken it's first flight according to him using NPO Saturn engine.
More SWiFTs are planned and for ghatak kaveri parts are sending and it may see it's first flight soon.
DRDO/ADE is tight lipped about the info, hence very little to gather.
And the flight happened this year only few months back.
Regarding where the flight test happen,he said he can't exactly say but maybe via a runway in oddisha operated by DRDO/ADE.

But according to me
It's flight happened in it chitradurga Aeronautical test range.
In April you would've heard the news that chitradurga's runway has been extended by DRDO to 3.3km,probably for this test only?
And would've done earlier,as open-source based sattelites takes time to provide latest data/imagery
