Wow that was very interesting, it's 4.75 plus plus and the right stepping stone for AMCA. AMCA should have gen+ electronics, they say they bought some electronics/avionics from AMCA to mk2 but I belive that AMCA will have plus gen.

What the hell they are doing with this model? When will it's going to be tested??? I am sure that nirbhay series missile is never going to be inducted in armed forces.....ade sucks..

You don't test another model unless the base model pass up all the tests. Moreover DRDO is not a private lab to dive head on in a independent project as per their wish.
So considering all odds which is ramped up against ADE, they are doing a commendable job compared to others.

As far as induction of Nirbhay is concerned, IA do have need of it and they would induct it. Period.

Some important observations -

1. Qrsam has completed its development trials. Is currently in user trials phase with mobility trials going on now. Qrsam will enter service in 2022.

2. The first production set of Mrsam will be handed over to the airforce in the next few months. From then, another new unit will be handed over every three months. There will be some operational missile tests before the actual handing over to Indian airforce .

3. SAAW will enter service this year itself. HAL is the production agency. The IIR seeker equipped SAAW will start it's developmental trials in 2022.

4. NGARM will enter operational service in 2022.

5. Mrsam for Army will be inducted in 2023-24.

6. Astra mk1 has already been inducted. Astra mk2 will soon undergo developmental trials followed by user trials and will enter service in 2022.

7. Only two sets of LRSAM are yet to be delivered to the Indian Navy.

8. The recently commissioned hypersonic wt took 4 years to build and cost us Rs 412 crores. A national Mach 3 wind tunnel will be constructed jointly by DRDO and NAL .

9. Akash NG whose first test trial was conducted just weeks ago will enter series production in 2023.

10. GAETEC can now design develope and fabricate across the entire frequency spectrum . Lastec has been demolished and its functions and mandate have been assimilated by other labs.

HAL, Wipro3D collaborate to manufacture metal 3D printed aircraft engine component

Wipro 3D and Engine Division of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) have collaborated for the development, manufacturing and air-worthiness certification of acritical aero-engine component operating in the hot zone, using metal 3D printing.

The Nozzle Guide Vane (also called the Inner Ring), 3D printed in a high-temperature resilient steel A286, has been awarded Airworthiness certification by Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC), the regulatory body of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), a Wipro 3D statement said on Tuesday. Wipro 3D is the metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) business of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN).

"The Wipro3D manufactured components shall be installed in HAL manufactured helicopter engines", the statement said. CEO of Bangalore Complex, HAL, Amitabh Bhatt said Additive Manufacturing is a disruptive technology and is going to play a big role in the manufacture of components
used in the Aerospace and Defence Industry in the future.

Complimenting Wipro 3D and HAL Engine Division for successfully developing a 3D component for use in the hot section of an aero engine, Bhatt said it is indeed a significant achievement towards "Aatmanirbhar Bharat Policy of Government of India."

CATS Hunter is recoverable, it can carry 250Kg Bomb , as i speculated it can stay airborne for a long time to carry out jamming, reconnaissance and filming of strike zones if it is provided enough power . The bomb bay can be loaded with power supply.

ALPHA S Swarm drones can carry 5-8 kg warheads.

Agnikul Cosmos successfully test-fired their semi-cryogenic engine. This engine is fully manufactured as a single piece, using 3-D printing technology. Semi-cryogenic engine named as Agnilet, fuelled by rocket-grade kerosene and uses liquid oxygen as an oxidizer.


DRDO signs MoU with HAL for UTTAM AESA and D-RWR. This D-RWR is an upgraded one whic is currently using in Mk1and will use in tejas MK1A.

UTTAM Radar for MWF has 992 TR modules , even though the MWF Radom is smaller than MK1A Radom, which means India has progressed well in miniaturization of TR Modules. this TR modules are more than that of RBE used in Rafale.
