For a quantum computer to be effective qubits numbers need to be 1 million at minimum. This one is at 7. Very very very long way to go.

1 million qubits ?

Portable Quantum Computers being released commercially are 2+ qubits as of now.

IBM biggest quantum computer is 53 qubits. It promises 1000 qubits quantum computer by 2023.

Google 2018 had quantum computer at 72 qubit.

D wave is highest at 3000 qubit.

300 qubit is minimum required to achieve quantum supremacy.

So DRDO after 2 year's work , achieving 7 qubit is fair enough IMO.

Must be for a new missile .

It’s been over 33 years from idea to execution. Indian troops realized the need for NBC gear during the Siachen conflict in 1987, after which the defence HQ approached Defence Research Development Establishment (DRDE) Gwalior.

After over three decades of research and accumulation of data, DRDE scientists finalised Indian Standards, say officials, adding that India will not be dependent on US and German standards anymore. Five types of NBC protective systems and equipment for troops have been devised — individual protective equipment, collective protection system, medical protection equipment, detection equipment and decontamination system.

HAL to make head-up display systems for pilots
Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) would make head-up display (HUD) systems for pilots in partnership with Israel's Elbit Systems Electro Optics Elop Ltd, the aerospace major said on Monday.


"We signed a pact with Elbit to make and supply digital overhead head-up display (HUD) systems for guiding pilots in navigating their aircraft," HAL said in a statement here.

Those are marketing gimmick. For quantum computer to be effective for what they do or are being designed to do , The minimum qubits numbers need to cross 1 million threshold. Which is not happening anytime soon or even in future for long time.
