Anti-ship ballistic missile is nothing more than a fantasy..it's impractical..after doing some basic work drdo,navy realised the truth and abandoned the idea..it's not coming..chinese asbm a purely propoganda weapon.

For pinpoint target detection you need vast network of survillence systems,if your enemy able to destroy some parts of that network then it's gone and destoying some parts of the network is not a hard job .secondly,terminal phase manuvering by a boostless warhead for targeting a manuvering target is easier said than done........scramjet will be the future of anti-ship missile not asbm....

Better seeker are in development but any of you have info of tvc controlled solid motor with multiple ignition possible using some gel to extinguish , heard of the project but no serious info .
They all need to work on weight reduction , range enhancement .

You are talking about pulsed rocket motor here.
Akash-NG uses a dual pulse motor. Rudra M-1 uses a dual pulse motor. Astra Mk2 under development is dual pulsed motor.

No. They are talking about a RAMJET powered AAM based on BRAHMOS. In simple words, a desi meteor.

Tracking the ship at terminal phase will be a problem.the sensors are not there.

But brahmos like supersonic cruise missiles are a legitimate threat though.

I believe SAAW weapon is completely made by DRDO..Thats what DRDO boasted...SAAW may look like Spice ER but its not an israeli JV..
