Def Min hands over Astra MkI missile to
Chief ACM RKS Bhadauria in Delhi today. Also, the Indian Maritime Situational Awareness System was handed over to CNS Adm Karambir Singh & Border Surveillance System to COAS Gen M M Naravane.

In a recent seminar somehwere ACM Bhaduria had said that they were able to integrate Astra mk1 with Su-30MKI within two months of the Bvraam completing it's user trials. Because it was an indigenous system and the various modules seeker guidance and mission comp onboard can communicate with the Dare developed MKI mission computer . Which in turn receives data from Bars and OLS-30 and processes and disseminates it further .

Just the combat dress. New dress is being handed out for testing to a few units in very limited nos.

No ceremonial.dress too, above colonel rank , one would not recognize the regiment ,unit of the officers.
The different coloured cloth worn around belly will be replaced by a simple black cloth .

On a serious note they should stop labelling everything they make as best in the world. It can be one of the best only when deployed in mass with all the bells and whistles and perform well for a period of time without servicing and spare issues.

ATAGS has a range of 48 KM while other guns in this category have maximum ranges of 35-40 KM, ATAGS also has the ability to fire a five-round burst while no other contemporary gun exceeds three-round bursts.

ATAGS also has an all-electric drive instead of Hydraulic systems used by other Artillery Gun System, An all-electric drive requires less maintenance compared to Hydraulic systems, Another advantage of ATAGS all-electric drive is that the gun can fire in “silent mode”, with the batteries providing sufficient electrical power to fire the gun for an hour, without the engine running.

Bhai kamarband change is not much of a change in itself. If dress no. 1 itself is being changed then I think it should be standardized across forces for all ranks.
