Technical question:

Shouldn't this baby make a great SAM?.. With 1500km range & 6M speed it won't have to worry about notching & interception path, instead simply home in towards any target within 500km at high-speed. It's so fast the engagement won't even come to a tailchase!

@porky_kicker @Karthi @Chinmoy???

IMO it will need two variants for surface to air role

One as a SAM with curtailed speed at 6-8 mach but optimised for the ability to pull high G's as is required from SAMs .

One as a interceptor with speeds of 10-12 mach , optimised for staight forward interception of ballistic targets .

Difference between initial HSTDV launcher and the redesigned HSTDV launcher - caged interstage either replaced or covered up . Maybe it was the reason for the alleged first test failure of the launcher few months back due to possibly bad aerodynamic interaction.

Contactless life detection system for soldiers , it is fitted with a Doppler radar etc to allow soldiers in the battlefield to detect the bio ( heart , lungs etc ) parameters and psychological parameters to determine if a lifeless soldier is actually alive or not . It will help to save lot of lives in the battlefield .

Mock up of the lightweight smart HUD that was being developed locally for LCA mk2 . It will have the capability to interface with DASH 5 HMDS.

( Note : this reveals that LCA mk2 will use DASH 5 HMDS )

It is interesting considering the latest LCA mk2 cockpit mock up incorporates BAE HUD.

These are just experimental vehicles , but I have some pictures of what Chinese netizens called a Scramjet test , a rocket and a Scramjet like thing in a launch facility . Those are rare pictures it's somewhere in my HDD , but it was looked much like a toy for me.
Look closer of the Chinese words on that rocket - "Xiamen University". It is a co-work between the university and a private company. So, yes, it is a toy created by university students.

So most probably Chinese Scramjet Research is behind India and we should maintain the lead and should beat them
In 2018, Chinese published their test of hypersonic aircraft - Star sky -2.

"In the latest tests, the aircraft was able to maintain speeds greater than five-and-a-half times the speed of sound for 400 seconds at an altitude of 30km (19 miles). "
